Coins bearing one-year-only designs and featuring a collector-grade finish from two different production facilities became available today with the release of the U.S. Mint’s 2020 America the Beautiful Quarters Uncirculated Coin Set™.
Found within the 10-coin set are five quarter dollars from the Philadelphia Mint and five quarters from the Denver Mint, for a total of ten different coins. All are produced in an uncirculated finish.
They represent the year’s versions of the U.S. Mint’s America the Beautiful Quarters® Program and include reverse (tails side) designs honoring the following national sites:
- National Park of American Samoa
- Weir Farm National Historic Site in Connecticut
- Salt River Bay National Historical Park and Ecological Preserve in the U.S. Virgin Islands
- Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park in Vermont
- Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve in Kansas
Designs for these quarters were unveiled by the U.S. Mint last August. They represent the fifty-first through fifty-fifth in the series. The 56-coin program debuted in 2010 and has seen five new strikes released annually each honoring a national site with one for each state, the District of Columbia and the five U.S. territories.
All quarters bear the same obverse (heads side) portrait by John Flanagan of the first U.S. President, George Washington.
Specifications for the included coins as provided by the U.S. Ming are:
