Ozark Riverways quarters are the 38th release in the series which debuted in 2010. They also mark the third issue in the program released this year. Available products include 40-coin rolls and 100-coin bags with the circulation-quality strikes produced at the U.S. Mint’s facilities in Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco.

Ozark Riverways Quarter Designs

Nine design candidates were introduced in October 2015 for the reverse (tails side) image of the Ozark National Scenic Riverways quarter. From those nine, national site officials, the Commission of Fine Arts and the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee made recommendations before the Secretary of the Treasury announced a final selection.

That selection was the work of artist Ron Sanders, with its sculpting completed by Renata Gordon. It depicts Alley Mill, a steel roller mill built in 1894 to produce flour. In the following U.S. Mint video, Gordon talks about her work in sculpting the coin:

The mill is still intact with visitors able to tour the site. "OZARK RIVERWAYS," "MISSOURI," "2017" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM" can be found inscribed around the design. A few photographs of the coin follow. (See more Ozark Riverways quarter photos.)

All America the Beautiful coinage contain the same obverse portrait of the first President of the United States, George Washington. The effigy by John Flanagan has been showcased on quarter dollars, with minor variations, since 1932. In addition to mandated inscriptions, obverses also have mintmarks of P, D or S to indicate where they were made.

Quarter Dollar Products

The Ozark Riverways quarter is available in the following options and price points:

Product US Mint Production Facility Price
