Gold Pulls Back 0.8%, Silver Prices Decline 0.5%
Gold fell Tuesday and for a second straight day as investors turned their attention from it toward the U.S. dollar and U.S. stocks.
"The strong dollar and lower oil and commodity prices appear to be pressuring gold lower," MarketWatch quoted Mark O'Byrne, executive director at GoldCore. "Increased risk appetite as seen in the surge in equity indices may also be leading to lower gold prices."

Gold edged about $3 lower Monday as prices consolidated when failing to attain $1,600 an ounce and after two prior sessions in which the yellow metal rebounded by more than $55.
"Gold had a really nice rally following a very steep drop, so we might get some consolidation from here as the market prepares to take on $1,600," Bloomberg quoted Feng Liang, an analyst at GF Futures Co.

2012 US Mint Set Includes 28 Uncirculated Coins
Available today, May 21, is the 2012 U.S. Mint Uncirculated Coin Set. Sales of the 2012 Mint Set began at 12:00 noon ET with pricing at $27.95, which is $4 less than similar annual sets issued in the two previous years.
As has been the case since 2010, this year's set features a total of 28 uncirculated coins. 14 of them are produced at the Denver Mint with the other 14 originating from the Philadelphia Mint -- the same U.S. Mint facilities responsible for producing America's circulating coinage [...]
