Gold Up Week, US Mint Bullion Sales Soar
Gold eased Friday after two straight days of gains but prices still closed 1.3% higher on the week. Silver, however, fell 2.1% from a week ago.

US Mint Suspends In-Person Kennedy Gold Coin Sales
This afternoon the United States Mint announced that for safety reasons it has suspended in-person sales of dual-dated 1964-2014 Proof 50th Anniversary Kennedy Half-Dollar Gold Coins. It also addressed questions about the Mint's ability to meet demand for the coins.

US Mint Sales: Gold Kennedy Half-Dollars to 61,700
Overall gains softened last week for most United States Mint products after a soaring week of sales when buyers raced to order 50th Anniversary Kennedy Half-Dollar Uncirculated Coin Sets and added other collectibles to their shopping carts before checking out.
Sales of the uncirculated coins sets climbed another 13,062 during their first full week of release. They're likely atop the 100,000 ledge by now given that 97,655 were scooped up by Sunday [...]
JFK Gold Coins Score First-Day Sales of 56,694; Hitting $70.3M
First-day sales of the gold coin celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Kennedy half-dollar reached 56,694 units, or $70.3 million, the United States Mint announced Wednesday morning. The U.S. Mint earlier said that it would have 40,000 coins readied for delivery on opening day.
