Gold and Silver Prices Dip in May Start, US Gold Coins...
While platinum edged higher, gold, palladium and silver prices traded slightly lower Tuesday after data revealed better-than-expected U.S. manufacturing activity during the month of April.

Annual 2012 Presidential $1 Coin Uncirculated Set Released
On Tuesday, May 1, 2012, the United States Mint released the 2012 Presidential $1 Coin Uncirculated Set for a price of $16.95.
It is the sixth year for the uncirculated set to debut in the Presidential $1 Coin Program that started in 2007 to honor American Presidents. It is, however, discounted by $3 compared to last year's set.

2012 Proof Australian Gold Sovereign Coin Available
The awaited 2012 Proof Australian Gold Sovereign Coin has been released by the Perth Mint of Australia, marking the fourth annual issue in the series. Each coin is struck from 22-karat gold as part of an extremely limited 2,500 mintage.

Gold Prices Dip 0.5% in April, Silver Falls 4.5%
Gold prices retreated Monday, adding to what turned into a modest 0.5% loss for April but yet an enviable level as compared to the monthly losses of 4.5% for silver and 4.4% for platinum. All precious metals looked up to palladium with its furious 4.3% rally in April.

Chester Arthur Presidential $1 Coins Available in Bags
Bags filled with Chester Arthur Presidential $1 Coins are now available from the United States Mint. The bureau released 100-coin bags containing circulating quality Arthur dollars on Monday, April 30, at a price of $111.95 per bag.

Gold rose Friday, capping its biggest weekly increase since late February. Other precious metals advanced on the day as well but were mixed for the week.
