America the Beautiful Silver Coins More Detailed Than Quarters
The United States Mint has released images of the new 5-ounce America the Beautiful Silver Bullion Coins and they clearly show sharper, more detailed scenes than those depicted on circulating America the Beautiful Quarters™ which share the same designs.
The U.S. Mint began producing the bullion silver coins in September, and expects to strike 100,000 of each of the five 2010 designs for a total mintage of 500,000. They will have greater detail due to their specifications and the employed manufacturing process. U.S. Mint spokesman Michael White explains:

2010 Proof Silver Eagles on Sale November 19
The United States Mint on Monday said 2010 Proof American Silver Eagle coins would go on sale November 19, 2010, at noon ET.
"We have worked very hard with vendors to increase the quantity of precious metal planchets available to us," said U.S. Mint Director Ed Moy. "That hard work has paid off."
The collector proof Silver Eagles will have a price tag of $45.95, which is $14.00 higher than when the one-ounce .999 fine 2008 Proof Silver Eagle was issued.

2010 Silver Eagle Premiums Raised
The United States Mint has increased the premiums for its bullion American Silver Eagle coins from $1.50 to $2.00.
The U.S. Mint told its authorized purchasers on Thursday, as first reported on sister site SilverCoinsToday.com by Tarek Saab of Trusted Bullion, an Ohio-based precious metals company specializing in gold and silver bullion coins and bars.
The 50 cent increase officially kicked in today, October 1, 2010, and comes at a time when silver prices have been consistently setting new 30-year highs.
