No new U.S. Mint products launched during the latest reporting period ending Oct. 19. Once again topping the Mint’s sales chart — its first full week on record since the Oct. 10 debut — was the 2025-S 250th Anniversary U.S. Navy Proof Silver Eagle. The Navy privy-marked coin first became unavailable just over three and a half hours after launch and has since seen only brief periods of renewed availability.

Ranking second and third among the Mint’s most-sold products were its flagship annual offerings — this year’s uncirculated Mint Set and the traditional proof American Silver Eagle struck at the West Point Mint.
Meanwhile, five products showed weekly declines, down from nine in the previous report. All decreases were modest, except for the 2025-W $100 American Liberty Gold Coin, which fell by 149 to 11,679. Sales of the gold coin, limited to 12,000, have reopened at the Mint after an extended period of unavailability. The coin and its companion silver medal originally went on sale Aug. 21.
For record-keeping purposes, the 2025 Silver Proof Set logged its ninth consecutive weekly decrease, though it slipped by only six units.

I did get a subscription to the 2025 LE Silver Proof set yesterday. It has been open and closed for subscription the last couple days. The only reason I ordered this was due to the Kennedy half dollar. There has been chatter that it may be the last of this design.
https://www.usmint.gov/limited-edition-silver-proof-set-subscription-NN.html
The release date for the 2025 LESPS is November 6th ($255 each). The set includes the 2025 S Proof ASE, the last proof Silver Kennedy, those awful quarters, and does not include the Proof Lincoln Cent. I’m in it just for the Kennedy as well.
Cheers
I’m in for the S mint ASE and the Kennedy half. A shoutout to CaliSkier, they are now offering ‘Fast Break by UltraBreaks’ for just $99.00! These coveted boxes all contain honest to god Au and apparently adrenaline. The downside is there are only 250 boxes for sale and 200 of them contain a 1/1000th gram of Au (Gold Note?) so luck better be on your side when you buy several boxes! Cheers
Dang Craig, these mystery boxes, Ultra Breaks, Vault Boxes and such, are making money, hand over fist! “Fast Breaks”, 250 boxes with retail value of roughly $25,000 for a chance at just a smidge over 1.85oz’s of gold. Approximate value of total boxes approximately $9,000. Just think if you could turn every $9,000 worth of property, coins, items, stuff owned, into $25K! Almost triple the value of everything you owned? Sounds good to me!
E 1: The Penny should have been included this year as a bonus/tribute. Yes a silver one.
Now THAT would have been great!
Copy That!
Yeah Rooster, that would have been killer! Too bad that Congress would have had to have been involved, in order to pass a Public Law to do so. They’d have been able to easily sell 50-75K+ LESPS and even would have been able to raise the price. I would have wanted a bonus silver penny, no charge, however that would never have happened. $279 for a 2025 LESPS with a silver Lincoln Cent would have been awesome. What could have been?
Than can do it next year when they run out of the copper plated zinc planchet which they were supposed to have done a last time buy on. Since there is no LESPS next year the silver penny might have to go in the 2026 Silver Proof Set. It would be so cool, but that is why it won’t happen.
You may be able to find a 2012 Canadian silver cent, selectively gold plated which was part of the 2012 silver proof set sold by the RCM. Since I only wanted copper and copper plated steel cents, I bought one each of the uncirculated, specimen and regular proof sets. I’m only missing the copper plated zinc 2012 cents. I don’t know that there’s much demand for 2012 Canadian cents, even in Canada. A reason why cents were discontinued that year.
I would suppose so. Makes perfect cents to me! Or whatever the weight of the going price of Silver.
I subscribed for same reason on the ASE (even tho i got the single) and the Kennedy.

I guess if one listens to House of Pain, then, “Jump up, jump up and get down“! Sales Jump’in Around at the U.S Mint’s “House of Pain”: “Pack it up, pack it in, let me begin I came to win, battle me, that’s a sin”… Jump around (Jump around) Jump up, jump up and get down“ Perhaps “plummeted” would have been more appropriate? That was bad on my part — a leftover from the previous report. It’s fixed. Thanks!
Rare day for GLD.
GLD closed at a positive gain, however, the underlying Gold closed down at the same time.
GLD up and spot Gold down.
Most days GLD closes at either a premium or a discount to the underlying Gold.
Every ETF does the same thing. What is unusual for GLD is that it closed at a premium. Most of the time GLD closes at a discount.
Not only was today a premium but a significant premium for GLD.
The highest premium for GLD in the current reporting quarter was .05754% so today’s close was significant…
ALL, Just letting everyone on here know I’m doing pretty good! I have had my second Infusion Immuno Therapy. I am Stage 4 Liver cancer. I have a large tumor growing on my liver. I’m not a surgery candidate nor a liver transplant candidate. They don’t do Chemo or Radiation any longer for liver cancer. Immuno Therapy is a much nicer treatment! You’re not sick and feeling like you’re dying. It’s a very good treatment, many people go into remission from other cancers. I have to do this treatment every 28 days till I croak. It won’t save my life… Read more »
Thanks for the update, AKBob. Prayers still going out for you. Good to know about the treatment plan.
Also appreciate your collection summary – you have done quite well lately!
BTW, any effects for your island from the typhoon?
DaveSWFL, thank you! I think I switched to gold at the right time. I’d have probably never switched but reading Mr Cags posts from over on MNB got me to thinking and I made the move. I’m very thankful for Mr Cag and his expertise. He was pumping up the 2021 1/10th & 1 oz Type 1 Gold coins. I started buying up 1/20th oz’ers and I finally got brave enough to buy a 1 oz gold coin. Boy was I nervous. It was a lot of money to me. Now, they were cheap compared to today’s spot.melt! My wife… Read more »
In my above Post I said I started buying up “1/20th” oz……..I meant to say “1/10th” oz $5 gold coins!!!
You probably figured that out but I wanted to make it clear. Darn fingers (JQC or AI comes too mind, lol)!!!!
Can you relate JQC? 😉
Thanks for the update AK! You have a great attitude, keep it up! I live in a suburb of Denver, so maybe I’ll bump into you at the Expo if you go? I’ve been thinking of taking a road trip to a coin show in Vegas sometime, then hit the CC museum, perhaps a coin shop near, then stop by Meteor Crater in Windslow, AZ on my way home… I hear that there’s “a girl in a flatbed Ford”… Maybe she’ll slow down & take a look at me lol. Here’s my pic for the day – L&B Gold —… Read more »
I haven’t made it to Carson City yet, but I did take in Vegas, the Grand Canyon, the Meteor Crater, and parts of Route 66, including Windslow and the Wigwam Motel with the family. Plenty of nostalgia and fun. Definitely plan on a side trip from the bright lights of Vegas. It’s worth it.
P.S. – Beautiful pic of a design that’s growing on me. Have you picked up the English sister coin?
No L&B English gold as of yet. There’s a ‘King’ on that coin, but a legit King, nonetheless lol.
I’ve actually been to Windslow & the Crater on a work trip back in 2011, amazing. I’m a SW native (AZ), so a trip back is a no-brainer for me!
I’m wrapping up a work trip now, halfway home – the long trek back home from the new PIT Terminal, PA in my trusty “Full-Bed Ford”. The Autumn PA leaves are turning, and the Iowa corn is being cropped. Good stuff.
Good meme, Kaiser.
I believe the English version has Britannia heads up and Liberty upside down. On the reverse (obverse) is the obligatory King Charles portrait.
We went to Carson City when traveling from Reno to Tahoe. Then, The Ponderosa!!!
Rick, that photo makes that L&B pop! Wow!!! I really like the L&B. It’s a gorgeous gold coin. Thx for the kind words! Meeting up in Denver would be fun I think. When is it approximately? Your trip sounds like even more Fun. I also have a sister and brother in law that live in Parker and a coin buddy in Aurora.
AKB yeah I shut it down and it turned itself back ON??? Wow 20th Z likely coming w the rise in Au amd to keep,up w the Canucks. Glad to hear you’re getting some results. Someone I know claimed 5heir father in law used Cryo therapy to deal w liver C. Best of luck. Still can’t figure out how I keep, getting a # for a T, see above !!
Absolutely Bob! AI nos beast ….
you were thinking Canadian 20th Z!
AKBob, it’s great to hear from you as always. I also love the 2006 20th Anniversary Rev Proof Gold Eagle, and was hoping for next year’s 40th Anniversary of the American Eagle program the Mint would issue a second Rev Proof AGE, the 2026 40th Anniversary Rev Proof Gold Eagle, but with all the 2026 Semiquincentennial 250th Anniversary coins and medals planned that hope went by the way side. Well, as Miguel De Cervantes (aka Don Quixote) once said, To dream the impossible dream…
Continued prayers for you Bob during this time. Congratulations on these AU acquisitions. Nice score getting the 70 grade too. Modern day panning for gold in AK.
Thanks for keeping us up to date, AKBob. Your perspective and zest for life are refreshing and inspirational. Keep on living the good life and chasing the gold. Sounds like a plan we should all follow.
AKBob, definitely appreciate the update and glad you’re doing well. Always, always wishing you the best! Any thoughts of taking a bucket list trip somewhere in the next year or two? I managed and was lucky enough to take a trip to Australia and New Zealand as well as a trip to Costa Rica! Both were incredible experiences, packed with adventure, flora and fauna, quite different from here in North America. Also, if you haven’t been, Yellowstone is mind blowing! Anyhow, excellent job, following Cag’s golden encouragement and great work on your Gold Stack! Let us know about your next… Read more »
Cali & All, Thank you for ALL of your kind words! It does mean a lot to me and I truly appreciate you ALL! Funny you ask Cali, I was just emailing another CN’s person here on CN that I’ve never been to a coin show! So, on My Bucket List is to go to a big Coin Show and another coin friend that lives in Aurora next to Denver, and my CN’s buddy here on CN’s, meet up at the Denver Coin Show next year!!! I’d love to do that. Now you lived in Denver not too long ago… Read more »
AKBob, I lived a little over an hour north of Denver, however I believe the show you’re referring to is the Denver Coin Expo? I never made it to that show, however I was lucky enough to go to the ANA’s 2017 Worlds Fair of Money show! Awesome experience, and you should check to see if your friends would be willing to travel to and meet up at the ANA’s 2026 Worlds Fair of Money in Pittsburgh PA, from Aug 25-29, held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. With the 250th Anniversary next year, that show in particular should… Read more »

AKBob,
Keep on Truckin Buddy. One foot after the other, don’t look back, and keep on going. When each day is a gift, life can be a lot sweeter and more meaningful. Stay on schedule with your therapies and rejoice in every day you can possibly get.
All my best,

Prayers and best wishes @AKBob in both the health and the coin front.
At 8:40pm EST on 10/22/25, the Mint still has yet to reprice gold products. The LBMA weekly average comes in at 4,219.38, so this will be a third consecutive week with a 3 tier price bump. Somewhat surprised, that the Mint is cutting customers a little slack by not having changed the pricing today or this evening so far.
Cali, check out the USM Pricing Grid Instructions, pricing criteria based on today’s (10/22/2025) Wednesday LBMA PM Fix = $4,070.00.
Rich, that is crazy! So, it looks like rule 3 came into play. Even though the weekly average was up 3 tiers, since the Wednesday PM fix, fell within the current range, no change to the range currently in use. Borderline bizarre, that something relating to gold product pricing, actually works in the customers favor! Just so hard to believe, that with the weekly average being up at $4,219.38, that a final day, PM fix would override a price raise. 9 previous fixes, become irrelevant! Go figure…. Score 1 for the collectors!
Rule 3, 3 Tiers and 3 Doors Down, Kryptonite!
The backwardation in Silver continues into its second week, though easing considerably since last Friday (10/10/2025), when Eric King exclaimed, “They just smashed silver from around $51 down to $47. And Ole Hansen sends out this chart showing the Comex futures are $2.70 below the LBMA physical market. These guys (naked short sellers) are insane. This isn’t 2011. It’s not 1980.” (King World News, 10/11/25)
10/22/2025 (5:00 pm ET)
COMEX Silver = $48.18
Spot Silver = $48.38
LBMA Silver = $47.760
Rich,
Silver went out of backwardation in overnight 24×5 trading.
Currently Silver is back in backwardation.
Silver has not been in continuous backwardation and that is important from fundamental analysis of a commodity.
