US Mint 12-Month Product Schedule for 2016
The United States Mint on Saturday published a preliminary product schedule for 2016. It's complete with 78 listings ranging from long-established coins and sets to 100th anniversary issues.
Some of the year's highly anticipated products include two American Liberty Silver Medals like the high-relief 2015 $100 American Liberty Gold Coins, the Ronald Reagan Coin & Chronicles Set and centennial gold editions of the Winged Liberty dime, the Standing Liberty quarter and the Walking Liberty half-dollar [...]
Gold Falls 1% on Week, Silver Gains 1.5%
Precious metals futures on Friday rebounded from their sharp prior-day losses, and most advanced on the week. Gold was the exception, failing to recover completely from a settlement on Thursday that was the lowest in over 6 years.

The Royal Canadian Mint opened subscription ordering on two series for 2016 that should prove exceedingly popular because each features 99.99% pure silver coins that are sold at their legal tender face values.

Gold Falls to Lowest Price Since October 2009
Precious metals tumbled on Thursday as the U.S. dollar rallied. Gold futures ended at their lowest price in just over 6 years while silver neared a more than 6.3-year low.

US Mint to Halt Mail Orders
Mail ordering from the United States Mint is about to go the way of the dodo bird. A memo from the bureau this week announced ending dates for sending and acceptance of mail order forms and explained the reasoning.
According to the memo, the U.S. Mint will stop distributing the forms after Jan. 1, 2016 and it will stop all mail order sales on Sept. 30, 2016 [...]
