2015 Lyndon B. Johnson Coin and Chronicles Set Release
Closing the series for 2015, the United States Mint at noon ET today, Oct. 27, will issue the Lyndon B. Johnson Coin and Chronicles Set. This set has a reverse proof $1 coin, a silver medal, an 8-cent stamp and an information booklet chronicling the life of the 36th U.S. President.

2017 America the Beautiful Quarter and 5 Oz Coin Design Candidates
The Commission of Fine Arts and the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee both recommended and rejected proposed designs for reverses of the America the Beautiful Quarters and companion five-ounce silver coins for 2017.
Neither the CFA nor the CCAC could stamp their approval on one the thirteen candidate designs for Effigy Mounds National Monument in Iowa, asking the U.S. Mint to submit more for consideration. Federal Reserve Orders 7.6 Billion Banknotes for 2016
U.S. money production for 2016 is expected to reach nearly 7.6 billion notes valued at more than $213.3 billion. Most of the bills will be $1s, $20s and $100s.

Monuments Men Congressional Gold Medal Awarded
Emancipation Hall in the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center played host Thursday to a ceremony awarding the nation's highest civilian honor.
