US Banknote Production Hits 678.4 Million in September
Markedly more banknotes were printed in September than a month and year earlier, data from the agency responsible for printing U.S. currency shows. Their combined value, however, was mixed -- modestly lower than in August but sharply higher than in September 2014.

US Mint Silver Eagle Allocation Set to 970,000
The United States Mint reduced its weekly allocation of American Eagle silver bullion coins for a second straight week. The agency has restricted sales of the coins since their return after temporarily selling out in July.
