Many 2026 U.S. Mint products have become unavailable shortly after release. Most carry Semiquincentennial elements such as the dual date 1776 ~ 2026, one-year-only anniversary designs, or both.
Through early April, the United States Mint has released 23 product options, with only 7 still available.

Among the first products of the year, rolls and bags of the 2026-P and 2026-D Iowa American Innovation dollars, released Jan. 6, are no longer available. Similarly, Semiquincentennial Mayflower Compact quarter products from Feb. 5 — including 100-coin bags and two-roll sets — are also unavailable.
In contrast, select Native American dollar rolls released Jan. 27 remain available, while their corresponding 100-coin bags are not.
American Eagle coins show a similar split. The 2026-W Proof American Platinum Eagle, released Feb. 6, remains available, while the 2026-W Proof American Silver Eagle and the 2026 Congratulations Set — both launched Feb. 26 — are unavailable.
"Currently Unavailable" Doesn’t Always Mean Sold Out
Rarely does the U.S. Mint designate a product as officially "Sold Out." Instead, items are more often listed as "Currently Unavailable," a status that does not necessarily mean sales have ended. In many cases, products return to inventory — sometimes briefly — as orders are canceled or additional units are released. CoinNews readers often note that one of the best times to check for restocks is around 7:30 a.m. ET.
Less often, the Mint signals additional production. Recent examples include the 2026-W Proof American Silver Eagle and the 2026 Congratulations Set, which became unavailable within minutes of their Feb. 26 launch, with the Mint later indicating that additional units will be produced up to the published mintage limits. Even so, sales for both have yet to reopen for any sustained period.
Gold Coins and Recent Releases
Gold offerings released March 5 present a mixed picture. The 1 oz and 1/4 oz proof American Gold Eagles, along with the four-coin set, remain available, while the 1/2 oz and 1/10 oz versions are unavailable.
A more recent release, the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Silver Medal from March 19, remains available. Meanwhile, Semiquincentennial Revolutionary War quarter products released March 27 are unavailable.
Overall, early 2026 U.S. Mint products follow a familiar pattern — strong initial demand followed by limited availability, particularly for circulating coin products and popular silver issues.
