CCAC to Review 2027 American Liberty Coin and Medal Designs

CCAC logoThe Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 21, to review and discuss candidate designs for the 2027 American Liberty Coin and Medal.

Established in 2003, the CCAC is a federal panel that advises the Secretary of the Treasury on themes and designs for all U.S. coins and medals.

Introduced in 2015, the U.S. Mint’s American Liberty Coin and Medal Program presents modern interpretations of liberty through annually changing designs. The program pairs a high-relief 24-karat gold coin with a companion .999 fine silver medal bearing the same designs, offering collectors a contemporary portrayal of Liberty and the American eagle.

During the meeting, members will also vote on the approval of the Fiscal Year 2025 CCAC Annual Report.
