Eagerly anticipated by many collectors, the United States Mint at noon EST will release the 2021-W Proof American Silver Eagle carrying the original ‘Heraldic Eagle’ reverse design. This annual staple marks the 35th year since its inaugural debut in 1986.

Aside from its long history and precious metal content, the new coin should be a hit with collectors since it also marks the last proof pairings of the original designs. Later this year, the U.S. Mint will introduce new Silver Eagles showcasing a different reverse.
Demand for the American Silver Eagle has always been high — especially those in proof with their frosted designs and mirror-like backgrounds. They are one of the most sought collectibles coins. That demand has waned a bit in recent years, however. Last year’s issue sold 205,389 coins in seven days, for one of the slowest starts in the series.
Product Limit
We will have to wait and see if demand will continue to falter or if it will reverse course owing to the program’s imminent design change.
Of note, the U.S. Mint has indicated a limit of 327,440 for this product. The coin is also available, however, in the 2021 Congratulations Set which also launches today and does not have a stated limit.
2021-W Proof American Silver Eagle Designs and Specifications
Appearing on the obverse of each 2021-W Proof Silver Eagle is the classic Adolph A. Weinman Walking Liberty design which first appeared on 1916-1947 half dollars. This design will remain on future editions. Obverse inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST and 2021.

The coin’s reverse depicts a heraldic eagle with shield as designed by John M. Mercanti. Future Silver Eagles will carry a different eagle depiction. The eagle’s beak holds a banner reading E PLURIBUS UNUM.

Additional reverse inscriptions include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, 1 OZ. FINE SILVER and the face value of ONE DOLLAR. A ‘W’ mintmark indicates its production at the U.S. Mint’s facility in West Point.

Price and Ordering
The 2021-W Proof American Silver Eagle is $73, up from last year’s edition which made its first appearance at $64.50.
Orders are accepted by the U.S. Mint via its online page dedicated to American Eagle coins. Due to Covid, no telephone orders are accepted.
Decided to get one because it is the last of this design.
are they gone already in about 20 minutes?
With a 99 coin limit who knows. Did the big boys jump on this with friends, relatives, and employees?
That’s a fairly sure bet, I would imagine.
Oh yeah
Sure did , now we’ll have pay double for them
That’s exactly what the flippers are charging. Thank you, U.S. Mint, for seeding them with 99 ASE’s each on the very first day of sale!
Mike M claims that he got pre-release date delivery of the ASE proof coins. Who knows how many coins he and his friends got prior to the 11th. It is no wonder they sold out, half were gone before release to the public
I don’t know what is actually going on at the Mint these days, but whatever it is clearly seems to have very little if anything to do with getting new coin releases into the waiting hands of real collectors.
I wanted to get ONE but the time I got my CC out they were gone 12:20.
You need an account.
Having an account would help, certainly, but so would a far more forthcoming, straight-shooting and above all honest and fair U.S. Mint. Any sense of responsibility they may have ever had to the nation’s authentic coin collectors seems to have entirely gone out the window.
It’s ok you could have had one yesterday hahaha
i called 12:03 and ordering was stopped. whats going on?
Oh, the usual.
Which is to say shenanigans, subterfuge, smoke and mirrors, shell games, and the man behind the curtain who remains well hidden.
Nice!
all i got was the proof i tried to get the congrats set but got the remind me button instead
The world needs ditch diggers too, you probably got those same retirement account savings messages. Thank the lord I have Bitcoins! and gold coin and palladium coin and silver coin and copper coin and wall street muppets. Diversity ain’t so bad.
Ditch digging is infinitely more honorable than credit default swapping, short selling, ponzi scheming and assorted other stock manipulating and swindling.
The Mint just wanted to remind you that those who scoop up all the most desirable coins before anybody else even has a chance to had managed to do it once again.
Most of those were likely gone before you even woke up that morning. You know the routine; the Mint’s dirty tricks done dirt cheap for the benefit of the big dealers.
Really? Sold out in less than a minute? Come on now…
Soon to be sold out yesterday haha what a muppet
Sure, the flippers and buying groups are guilty as charged, but the Mint with its laughable 99 coin household “limit” went out of its way to enable them as usual.
The buyers for hire, in organized groups and individually, are lightning fast.
Sold out in 8 mins ?
Yes, it went to ‘Remind Me’ status at about 8 mins. More may become available, cancellations etc. Alot of enrollments, they wouldn’t even let you add to that the last few weeks. They also haven’t listed a mintage limit. There’s always a possibility they mint more. I hope not though should have mine from enrollment.
I doubt the Mint will make any more of this last of a kind ASE, especially considering they had such a precise Product Limit for it. As to those not having a Mintage Limit, that doesn’t imply an open-ended, i.e. unlimited number, but instead simply indicates the absence of any pre-determined mintage figure.
The “absence of any pre-determined mintage figure” does imply open-ended though not unlimited. That’s what concerns me. Last year they posted a limit on the ‘S’ mint ASE and they still sold above that.
I stand corrected. Better wording on my part would have been what you said, “open-ended but not unlimited.”
What is the best wording possible?
TBD.
Thought out, not. Our mint can mint any amount they want. You cant mint anymore bitcoin. Diversify! And hold your nest eggs digitally and physically, the only one cracking or to be eaten by their young is the federal reserve.
At the moment the Federal Reserve is chowing down on us.
The mint is a failure along with wall street I COLLECT because there is history in these coins including bitcoin. Imaging trading your nickels into dollars, math only wall street muppets could dream of. DO THE MATH and get your account set up.
They are not cancels or back orders they are soon to be my finger loved doubles!!
No it sold out over time wake up and do the MATH! I got one of each.
Create an account with the mint and then sign up for the coins that have an enrollment option. This is how I got this ASE. It works pretty good.
Have they shipped your coin? My enrollment coin is still processing
No I pass on that the Mint no longer cares about it’s BASE just Mezak, AMPEX & the in the know, us suckers try & try, the site crashes, CU we bytch, the mont lists them @ 3am est…..some joker working for Mezak snags the last 99 posted @ 4:30 am…..profiteering BS
“Remind me” status. Seems early for this coin.
Only needed 3,000 buyers with 99 per household. They should have started a lot lower! They need to replace the whole management team at the mint!
Absolutely.
Absolute.
I’ve knocked the USM for fiascoes with a number of releases last year, but this one could be anticipated because of the dual reverses this year, and unlike the special releases this one had an enrollment available. There are thousands that have enrollments for this item. They may be some available from cancellations and they may also mint more (though I hope not) since no mintage limit was announced. Unlike previous years I don’t think this one will be in the Limited Edition Silver Proof Set though, I think that will be the type II reverse.
I can’t emphasize enough that “No Mintage Limit” is not in any way, shape or form even remotely synonymous with “unlimited”; rather, it just means that no specific mintage total has been set for that particular product since there is another product or products drinking from the same well, so to speak.
I can’t emphasize enough that mintage limit is the total number of an item minted. Product limit limit is the limit for that particular product (packaging option) drinking from the same well of the mintage limit. The product will be a part of the mintage limit. I’ve never said a mintage should be “unlimited” just that there was no mintage limit number indicated. The number of ASE in Congratulations sets and usually Limited Edition Silver Proof Sets are a part of the total mintage limit along with the individual ASE.
I can’t emphasize that I no longer give a rat’s arse about mint issues—> Wait for the Peace/Morgan $1 lube it up baby cause you’re WE’RE gonna get scphinkered
I can’t emphasize enough that I never thought this would develop into a comment-based trope. How very funny.
When you emphasize are you doing the math?
Maths to the Brits.
I would take all your nickels and put them into bitcoin and cash out big. The mint and the federal reserve and wall street are the source of your missery not collectors like me!
Etherium I got @ $200…. a few I don’t trust them either bud
Actually, that’s only true if the number minted for all product lines of a particular coinage is set in stone beforehand. If a mintage on the other hand is in fact open-ended the Mint can’t post the “Mintage Limit” figure per se on the order site. What it can do is report the aggregate mintage after the run for that item has come to a conclusion.
Oh darn, I forgot to start that with “I can’t emphasize enough”!
My bad. Of course, this is the kind of thing that happens as I’m sitting here feeling all discombobulated after not being able to acquire a Congratulations Set of my very own today at Mint High Noon.
Do the math!
What, me worry?
Maths.
The only mintage limit you need is in bitcoin
Bits and Pieces.
When you emphasize, are you doing the math?
Will you stop with your synonyms. Do the math and subscribe to the mint for their failure.
Ascribe the failure to the mint. Just trying to be helpful.
It’s only anticipated because subscribers are real collectors.
Even to Good Housekeeping.
You caught on to the “game” that was being played here. Good for you.
Fuck yes the MF @ the mint proudly licking AMPEX & Mezak’s nuts since 2010
Not to mention those at the Brooklyn Buyer’s Club and Pinehurst Coins.
Those guys collect junk and sell sell sell
Pinehurst only has about 100 different labels to choose from. They probably got 5,000 eagles and I couldn’t get one.
Pinehurst, Mike “Sold Out Limited Edition” Mezack, The Coin Vault, APMEX and the like are clearly among the select handful of big cheeses that the Mint manages to slip the bulk of all of its most desirable releases to. If you’re not buying in the multiple five or six figures per coin or set then you can consider yourself out of the running. Individual buyers are nothing but left in the dust losers these days.
How is this comment approved but mine about the federal reserve and the mint and the wall street muppets is awaiting approval?
Maybe we should go back to Facebook jail. Nope back to work and bitcoin! END THE FED it’s our civic duty!
Singularity.
‘Tis a veritable mystery of the Orient.
If you put all your nickels and held onto it in bitcoins or satoshis look at HOW MANY DECIMALS ARE IN BITCOIN! DO THE MATH THE FED DOESNT!

Sold out of the 2021 proof and Congratulations set in 10 minutes, really?
How can the Congratulations set be sold out, thought it had no set limit? Curious
Technically I guess they are not sold out, just unavailable for now (Remind Me). But that was weirdly quick. I picked up the Proof.
I like you roxie! Thanks for your comment!
Not really surprising with such an extravagant 99 per household so-called “limit”. It’s almost as if this particular sale was even more than typically so aimed directly at the re-sellers and flippers. Given their ability to buy that many coins at one fell swoop it more than likely made it laughably easy for the “big guys”, what with their virtual army of both inside and outside buyers, to scoop up the near entirety of both iterations of this highly desirable – as in last of its kind – ASE with very little effort and in no time at all.
Thx for the reply Kaiser! I don’t buy often from the mint but still it will be interesting to see where the mintage lands for this coin once all sales final and I expect an overpriced 2021 silver eagle set towards the end of the year….
Neat to see your handle also, brought back good memories of my first German Shepard pup I named Kaiser. Have a good day.
You’re quite welcome, Roxie. I’m glad my online moniker elicited some pleasant reminiscences for you. You have a good one too.
I waa think Kaiser Susay…..the mint sell out by the Usual Suspect$
You just wait until I get ahold of that other Keyser!
END THE FED. Put your money into bitcoin and then collect.
Do you recommend any other crypto other than BTC?
Rooster I like you too! The market has ups and downs, weak hands fold and strong hands hold. Muppets say sell sell sell. Dont think like a muppet and diversify! I have honestly only profited on litecoin and bitcoin and wall street muppets who are dead silent, hmmm some people. Ok budget! Lol IF I were to sell, no! Nein! I’m it long term. I foresee something bad this presidency but I got no math on those wizards. If you have any coins, you have bitcoin and you you’re accounting for the future # said no one at the FED.… Read more »
I am fairly diversified in crypto owning about 15 of them. They can be a rollercoaster but it is a fun ride.
You have no profit until YOU $ell o/w just a digitial hiccup, ready to be swiped by a bot or theif with hacking skills, digital wallets get robbed sometimes! Buy physical bullion
You are a freethinker. No, you have good day! I’m working! And buying and collecting lol
Or coin news with 99 problems lol I’m a collector of USMINT and bitcoin and purveyor of the muppets.
Kaiser W – you couldn’t be more right about this. This release has been hyped for months by Mike M as being of great demand and limited availability and yet the USM all but handed him thousands of these. If the mint really wanted to build interest in the hobby and attract new young collectors for the future they would find a way to make this releases more available to non bots and the big guys.
I’m not sure supporting our hobby is anywhere near the top of the Mint’s “To Do” list these days. On the other hand, it looks like they want to clean out the entire mint run of any high demand item as fast as possible by making it disgustingly easy for the big buyers to acquire the lion’s share of the supply.
Don’t forget the enrollments. The mint put a sold out sign on them a few weeks ago.
They also wouldn’t let you increase your quantity. Looks like the big boys took most of the quantity today.
I forgot about the enrollments being cut off, have they ever done that with silver eagle enrollments before?
I don’t think so, I was lucky and had added one more to my enrollment just a couple days before they locked it off. That was the sign to me that these would go quickly today. I signed on today just to check, I thought they would last a little longer, but I’m sure with the 99 HHL the dealers scooped them up.
I’m feeling blessed to have got the proof version. I really didn’t think they would become unavailable so fast but I forgot about the enrollment cutoff. I haven’t been able to collect the proof versions but I wanted it for my collection since I’m not convinced I like the new design and may just stop collecting the eagles after this year….I’m not getting any younger…lol
Yes, I was glad I had this one on an enrollment. I hope I have luck with the next ones as well. I somehow managed to get one of the 75th Anniversary of WWII ones, that was my feeling blessed lol.
Good for you!
We shall not want except for bitcoin and now at least one of everything this year from my mint, we the peoples mint, bought and paid for from the muppets on wall street.
Smart. Along with guest accounts
I did the same thing. I added an extra to my enrollment before they cut it off and you know what… they only gave me one coin! I saw it on my email so I called before noon and spoke to a mint representative. She said she didn’t know why it cut my additional coin but there was nothing they could do. I went online right at noon through my app and was able to buy one more manually. By the time my transaction was completed, they were sold out! Thanked my lucky stars!
I’m glad it worked out. I had called the week they cut it off because it looked like it was only showing $73 for the enrollment I had added one to. I kept getting notifications to update or my order would be canceled. The rep assured me it was for two. I kept checking my enrollments page and then I received an order confirmation the night before for two and the charges to match. Guess I won’t really know until they are in hand. The USM has things so messed up right now, I know covid has had an impact,… Read more »
Kevin H — You are not alone. I too got several eMails from the Mint requesting I check my enrollment/account information to ensure it was correct. So I did so 3 times, the last being the day before the official start of this sale. So all of this was a non-issue for me. I originally enrolled because I was not going to be able to be at my computer to place a Silver Eagle order last year. But TODAY is actually the first time I checked CoinNews for other’s comments. Wow. Looks like the Dam (or was that The Damn)… Read more »
Mike – The enrollments are a good thing, especially if you can’t be at the computer, or space out an on sale. I don’t know why more people didn’t use it for this. The ASE was sure to be sought after this year with the change in design (Mike M has been hyping it for months lol), and you save a few bucks with free shipping. I wish they had some form of them (even if limited) for some of the really limited items.
The exact same thing happened to me. I added a second ASE-W to my enrollment long before the announcement of the cutoff appeared, but when I got my “Order Fulfilled” notice it was for one coin only. So in effect what they did was short legitimate orders from collectors to have more of the 99 lots to shovel into the hot greedy and oh so greasy hands of buying groups, re-sellers and flippers. Nice, eh?
You forgot, seems to be a goldfish problem.
The smart ones watched our enrollment sell out.
John, while there may have been others, the only people I saw that noted people having enrollments in the coin were you and “Kevin H”.
As a collector, not a flipper, I had done an Enrollment for one (yes, just one) for all Silver Eagles last year. As a result I actually got a Confirmation of my purchase BEFORE the designated start time of its sale.
I also got notification for one coin, but it is still processing since the 11th.How slow is the mint these days
Richard —
I just checked its status … the Mint says it shipped on 2/13 and its anticipated delivery (by the USPS) is by the end of the day today.
But we’ll see about that … as I sent a Registered Return Receipt Letter of Complaint (re the 2019 Reverse Silver Proof Eagle snafu) to the Director of the Mint (David Ryder) in November of 2019. ONE MONTH later it was returned to me stamped by the USPS as ADDRESSEE UNKNOWN !!!
I like joking. But even I can’t make up stuff like this ….
Just an update for you Richard … the USPS just delivered mine, even though its delivery had been promised 2 days ago “late in the day”. So I guess the USPS considers that February 19th is just late in the day on February 17th. But given all the bad weather across the country, we probably should cut the USPS some slack. On the other hand the coin appears as pristine and crisp as any Eagle I have ever received. Well worth the wait for this collector that started his collection in 1955. (Oh, that’s the year … not the Military… Read more »
The US MInt web site worked well this morning. Got my Congratulations set at 9:00 am, but went unavailable at 9:07. I had a subscription for the 2021 W Proof Silver Eagle, but also ordered one more at 9:08 am. Went through fine, but as of 9:35 am, it too became unavailable. I am a collector, and will be keeping the coins as part of my American Silver Eagle collection. Can’t wait for the 2021 Morgan and Peace Dollars.
I am also looking forward to the Morgan and Peace copies but I’m sure they will make a bunch. Still I want a couple for my collection
I hope you’re right, I don’t have as much faith in the USM. I hope they make enough of all the mints and finishes that regular collectors can get them.
Peace dollar will phuck you over bro the Mint will have a limit of 100 or so, and the bot$ will orgasm over the $$$ the biguns make, Ryder looks brilliant the Mint loses the last of the dead enders
Fake news
A term invented by the Siberian Candidate shouldn’t be used in polite conversation.
NOt fake, no brag JUST FACT, the mint is out to mess you up brah. The sleep with Mezak & the big boy$ I wish it was the fishes
You probably collect plastic.
Shade of The Graduate.
A copie? Is that a joke? are you a customer of the intellectual property of CHINA?. Still good imput.
WELL theres a deep subject for shallow minds! Yes, subscriptions and guest accounts and pre orders are best.
The fun is just beginning one release down, five to go for ASE this year.
I bet you wish you had bitcoin and a real job instead of WFH.
Someone obviously has attention issues lol. I bet you wish you had a real life. I couldn’t care less about bit coin. I do have a real job and don’t work from home, I’m proud to be a grocery worker who has been on the job throughout the pandemic. What have you been doing besides spouting off? Seek therapy.
Lol
Lol 😉 I’m not going back to Facebook jail
🙂
Oh simmer down. I have been out in this worldwide pandemic too! In a more risky sector than groceries. I drove countless miles at the height of the pandemonium with no one on the road. I bought bitcoin, and sold gamestop stock haha you need less attention and a hobby in arithmetic. Seek bitcoin. And hold dont be so needy KMAN
Bingo.
Bit coin is $50k’ish buy property with that as a downpayment, you can’t eat or live in a BITCOIN……sell now crash is coming Musk knows!
Another CIRCUS act from the USM not interested at all in the so-called new eagle design, very poor to say the least. Just laughable!!!!! LOL LOL LOL….
UNDERSTAND This is a hobby fit for kings not muppets.
PS thank you for your thought, it was a thought that is best rather than, UNDERSTAND! lol. no really do the math
Muppets good, kings bad.
Thank Trump I got my orders !
Good for you. I think I am good. Did the enrollment for 1. Confirmed order so I think I am good. I never feel confident until it shows as shipped.
That is right, except I never feel confident until it has arrived.
USA! USA! USA! Wait until former President Trump announces he is buying bitcoin! Ok back to work!
This ASE frenzy will go the way of GameStop eventually – 327k plus at least 50k congrats does not constitute a rare/collectible coin.
Totally agree… The big dogs bought most. One advantage, big dogs get better deals getting certified. You will probably get better deals buying graded coins cheaper than average guy could get purchase/graded price.
The bigger they are the harder they fall. It’s how you get back up! Some muppet lost a billion dollars on wall street RIP you get better deals with your digital wallet. End the fed and collect because its history.
It will be interesting to see what happens with this coin with the increased price. If one does not care about getting a perfect MS-70 coin, I anticipate being able to pick up a graded MS-69 below issue price.
That’s the way I fly!
Good for you Erv. I like true collectors.
Thats your opinion which I wholeheartedly reject.
PHUCK THE MINT & 99 coin limmits on day 1: BOT$ paradise
The Synagogue Squad probably got most of them for the big coin guys. I hope they choke on them.
It’s my understanding that there are at least 20,000 participants in that unholy scam. Unfortunately, as the old saying goes, they are likely laughing all the way to the bank.
I have a bank account and a digital wallet
Good for them you sap.
Sap?? Fuck you Jake
Lol I bet you would, you homosapian.
What is that supposed to mean?
I assume that is a rather unfortunate nickname for the by now notorious Orthodox Jewish “Brooklyn Buying Group” that regularly and methodically scoops up thousands of Mint releases on the first day to re-sell them at a tidy profit to the likes of Mike “Sold Out Limited Edition” Mezack.
Oh here is the cRY bABY
Got lucky and got eight of them.
I envy you!
The US mint cancelled my order for no reason I called them and they said there is nothing they can do about it.
didn’t even bother. getting tired of mint antics.
Buh bye
Muhahaha! I’ll be getting one of everything! I’m too smart, and obviously a day ahead! END THE FED, END THE SUFFERING IN AMERICA. Hash tag do I want doubles on the double guest account?!!!! You bet your bottom dollar! Remember people 5 year investments at minimum you MUPPETS!
There isn’t much activity on these on Ebay. I observed them “as low” as $135.00 and no one is buying. I find that interesting.
Yes meanwhile people are house rich and pocket poor. I think seth hit retirement 6 years too early. He must be eating my lunch! Lol actually I hope he wasnt injured in that Texas pile up!
Hello Ladies & Gentleman and Jake! Lol. jk. I’m alive & well in Austin, TX (“Keep Austin Weird”) – where our great state capitol building is bigger than the U.S. Capitol building or any other of the other 49 states capitol buildings (mine is bigger than yours, LOL). And I’m 7 years & 7 months away from full retirement, & looking forward to playing well with others in an upscale retirement community & starting a numismatic show & tell podcast for those interested in numismatic history, science, hobby, industry & other numismatic anal retentive collectors/investors/hobbyists like myself & having High… Read more »
Sounds like a fun thing to do after retire. I remember when I use to whine about a $30 ASE proof….lol
I know right! Lol
Yes seth hold your nest eggs. You are smart and account for the future. I’m here to stay I work full time and pay bills and budget like a good American and buying coins not selling coins! I’m in Minneapolis Minnesota it’s a disgrace. They say we cant go places. Heck I wont even leave my house to go to those places except for when I’m working OT. End The Fed by Ron Paul is my bible next to my bible.
Just imagine having imput in the value of your dollar. Yup back to my drug, my calculator!
Govt Ripping U off… Proof Silver Eagle 250 percent Above Spot Price… Hey make a 25 percent Profit…. But not the US Govt… They want to Mug U….
2021W Proof Silver Eagle Mint Price = $73.00
02/12/21 Spot Price of Silver Ounce = $27.00
Percentage Over Today’s Spot Price = 170%
Hey muppet do the math on digital gold buy these yearly sets after the weak hands fold.
Not a clue as to how this relates to anything. You seem to be fading.
End The Fed
Want to talk about premium, have ya looked at the eBay prices for the 2021 T1 proof ASE in OGP? Add another 100%. Crazy times.
And the times are only going to get tougher and then we END THE FED
You just wait until the mint opens up their wallet to accept bit coin. It’s going to happen. I can buy gold right now with Crypto. I’m making money and putting spare cash in bitcoin again and again.
I was blissfully unaware of the sellout because I’ve stopped my US Mint emails. Too many sell outs in minutes over too many years. I’ll get one if my local coin dealer happens to pick one up in the future. Could be next year, could be 5 years, heck, it might be never. Would I have liked to pick one up at the original cost? Sure, but there’s too many other things to worry about in life than the US Mint’s notoriously poor product release system.
We shall end our suffering for all when we end the fed.
I was at my computer when I received notification that these were once again available; clicked it, and they were gone. What the heck?
Same here. This has been common with these alerts from the mint.
This just happened to me too, just like every other time previously, which is why those notifications are absolutely useless and no more than an annoying tease. My guess would be that the biggies have bots programmed to jump on the item(s) as soon as the notice of [alleged] renewed availability appears.
Weird huh.
Yep. Every time I receive a “notification” that an item is back in stock and am at my computer when I receive it, the product is already gone. What’s the point!!!
The Mint expects you to be as gullible as Charlie Brown expecting to be able to kick the Lucy-held football every single time he runs up to it no matter HOW many times she invariably pulls that thing out of his reach.
The mint has my junk hilary Clinton email account. lol I just save em too haha like my password sheet in my LIBERTY presidential safe.
Thought this was worth posting in case anyone is looking to buy a quantity of 99. From eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/99-MAX-LIMIT-CONFIRMED-American-Eagle-2021-W-One-Ounce-Silver-Proof-Coin-21EA/265049482148?hash=item3db62e23a4:g:zUQAAOSwppZgJW1L
I was surprised they were selling the entire lot, thought they could have made a bit more if they broke the lots. But then maybe they thought someone would pay up for a sealed fr Mint lot.
Never mind, looks like it turned our well for the single lot

Roxie60: Thanks for the update.
I find it interesting there were 60 bids….
It shows demand for this coin.
$106.83 / coin
I bet they end up in my local pawn shop and paid for in bitcoin for spot price. I coin hunt.
I dont like ebay too many China copies!
A perfect example of the fruits of the Mint’s propensity to cater to the big guys.
99 COINS PER HOUSEHOLD x 3007 BUYERS TOTAL = ALL SOLD OUT!
Please disregard first post on this subject. See corrected numbers below.
99 COINS PER HOUSEHOLD X 3307 BUYERS = COMPLETELY SOLD OUT!
It might not be the best idea to in any way encourage the flipping bloodsuckers.
Same crap as last year and EVERY YEAR, web site would not let people log in. When will the mint FINALLY do pre orders for the A.S.E. like they do for silver commemoratives!
Yes pre orders via enrollment or whatever and just on sale is good enough
Lucky to get 5. Enrolled way early. Didn’t expect sellout in minutes.
Just like bitcoin soon to be sold out yesterday and Jake accounting for the future.
Looks like sales started to pick up today for these coins.
Soon to be exponential for all coins for everybody to earn a coin! Hold dont sell! Investments people! Not buy tomorrow sell the next day. Buy today and end the FEDERAL RESERVE tomorrow it’s our civic duty!
Can we please keep the insults and anti-semitic comments off of here and stick to discussing coins?
I’m Jewish you sap.
Is Sap a religion too?
I actually wasn’t referring to your comment. Now that you’ve called me a sap, too – a favorite aspersion of yours, apparently – may we get back to a conversation about coins here?
mezack selling ngc pf70 for 399.00 last night, think this coin might be a whopper !
He claimed to have gotten early delivery of proof ASE. How is this possible, $399.99 for 1st day of issue
Mike Mezack still the “KING” of coin collecting, can talk the ears off an elephant with his “BULLCRAP” Understand!!! lol
A big “amen” to that!
That’s just a wee bit shy of a tidy four hundred and fifty percent profit. Not too shabby for a few minutes of scheming and scamming, wouldn’t you say?
Mezack is the last of the snake oil salesmen. You can be sure that whatever exorbitant price he sells anything for has no connection to its true value in the real world.
Right here right now he has a version from a pallet beamed down from the Enterprise minted Christmas Eve by Santa’s elves while feeding the reindeer FDOI LE of 2021 with an exclusive covid safe core lol. By what he says I would need about 20 different ASE to have the must have of the 2021s.
Warp speed ordering required for the ASE made of dilithium crystals.
There is only one thing for sure here, which is that Mike “Sold Out Limited Edition” Mezack just told you a whopper.
I read somewhere that the peace dollar is only going to have a mintage of 50,000 so we probably won’t get any of this is true
So my US coin collection is going out with a whimper. Being based in Australia, I’ve always loved the silver dollar since I saw one as a little kid. When I got old enough with enough disposable income, I started building up an American dollar collection. I completed Morgan, Peace, Eisenhower, Susan B Anthony sets, and was working on Silver Eagle, Sacagawea and innovation sets. I didn’t restrict myself to just dollars. I have 1952 to present proof sets, and have happily been buying other items from the catalogue. I don’t think Americans realise how hard this is to do… Read more »
Daniel, I want to congratulate you for having assembled such a marvelous collection of American coinage despite the added challenges in time, effort and expense that acquiring it from overseas presented to you. Consequently, it’s all the more of a shame to hear that the recent incredibly frustrating antics of the U.S. Mint have finally led you to end your ties with same and to take your numismatic interests elsewhere. I wish you the best of luck with whatever direction you now choose for your numismatic journey!
Has anyone received shipping confirmation??
My coin is still processing. Mint confirmed that CC is ok and they will bill when shipped. Mint blamed delay on weather conditions. I am afraid that they will eventually cancel my enrollment order as much of the mintage was sold prior to official release to “approved purchasers”
I did. Received the Tracking Number.
The mint now has my order as shipped.
My order was canceled… has this happened to someone else??
Any idea what to do
Never happened before, could happen to anybody now, and have no idea what to do.
Rumor has it some dealer swooped in and bought thousands of these and had NGC do a special label called Advanced Issue. If you have a spare 600.00 you can get one from Pinehurst Coins in North Carolina.
According to Mike sold-out Mezack, 18 approved dealers were able to buy the proof coins prior to release and get them to the graders for 1st day release. Someone at the mint is making a lot of money by allowing these back-door sales
I have an enrollment for this proof silver eagle. I received an email order confirmation early on the morning of the 11th. The status said “processing”. There was a pending charge on my credit card, so I was hoping I’d receive it soon. Hope in one hand and…in the other. The status is still “processing” a week later. And it’s still pending on my credit card. I have no balance on my card, so there’s not a problem with the card. I called the mint and was told to switch my payment method to my debit card which is also… Read more »
Are you not watching the news or reading what the Mint said about staffing? Take a couple of minutes and relax, as they have thousands of coins to ship and you could be last in line.
If weather was a problem, how did the big boys get their coins to the graders prior to the release date. It is all BS so someone could make a profit
Fviia, we can imagine that the Mint likely has no staff available to take care of individual collectors’ orders at the moment because they’re all still more than just a little tuckered out from having loaded countless heavily laden pallets of those coins onto trucks headed for the pre-buying big dealers.
I received mine today graded MS 70 from a dealer. I’m happy. I’d like to add that I pre-ordered this back the day after Christmas.
I have a subscription and just received a cancellation notice!!!
Wow! They should honor any small player and put the big players last in line.
Kate, that’s previously unheard of, completely unfair, totally unwarranted and absolutely outrageous!
Received a remind me e-mail today available at 9.08am, was already logged on still not available??? Playing games. Screw U S MINT…!!!
Same here. 9:08
Just received confirmation that my coin has shipped. Happy that the order wasn’t canceled.
Mine shipped on 2/14/2021 and they haven’t moved since and it’s 02/23.
Wow Chris that is odd that it would sit that long. I showed shipment on 2/21 and it is in transit.
I just checked again and received the below message:
“A damage has been reported and we will notify the sender.”
Never have heard of that before. Maybe they will repackage and send again. Hopefully all will end good.
I hope so, too, Rooster. Thank you.
I had four of the coins in my subscription checked my order status last week says they were being processed. Checked my order status today and shows the items have been cancelled . Called the US mint told them I never cancelled my order they said there is nothing they can do and she said try the remind me button if more ever come available.
I called the Mint this morning and stated that my enrollment order was still processing. Operator claimed that there were weather delays, but my adress label had just been printed. Hopefully this indicates movement in the delivery, but was told not to expect coin for 2 weeks
Will the 2021-S American Eagle Silver Dollar Proof coin and the 2021-W American Eagle Silver Dollar Uncirculated coin, to be released this summer by the US Mint, have the new Type-2 reverse flying eagle design or the old, original Type-1 heraldic eagle reverse design?
