Gold and Palladium Surge in First Quarter 2020; U.S. Mint Bullion...
In precious metals futures Tuesday, gold declined while silver, platinum and palladium climbed. Gains in silver and platinum were modest at less than 1%. Palladium, however, soared nearly 5%. Metal prices mostly declined in March and they logged divided performances for the first quarter of 2020.

A 1945 Silver Threepence certified by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation® (NGC®) realized £62,000 (almost $74,000 USD) -- more than double its presale estimate -- in a March 25 onlineonly auction presented by Baldwin's of St. James's. No live bidding was allowed due to the coronavirus situation.

Gold, Palladium and Other Precious Metals Rally on Week
Precious metals scored exceptional weekly increases even as most of them declined on Friday. Gold's gain on the week was the best since 2008 and it came on the heels of two straight weekly losses.

Known as "The King of American Coins," an 1804 United States Draped Bust Dollar certified by Professional Coin Grading Service (www.PCGS.com) as PCGS PR55 was sold for $1,440,000 by Stack's Bowers Galleries on March 20, 2020.
The Class III 1804 silver dollar was from the estate of the prominent late collector D. Brent Pogue and previously had been in a dozen other great collections, including those of the Garrett family and Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore [...]
