The United States Mint and the National Park Service (NPS) will introduce in a ceremony the Gettysburg National Park Quarter Tuesday, January 25, at 11 AM ET, it was announced Monday afternoon. The coin honors the park which is located in the state of Pennsylvania.

Thursday's New York session opened with losses across the precious metals' complex. Spot gold suffered a $25.00+ per ounce loss (1.65%) and fell to $1,343.40 (just under the number(s) at which it is thought to "have had to" hold, lest it should decline significantly lower).
