Heritage Awards Crisp $1000 Bill to Lucky New Hampshire Collector

Other Winners in Heritage’s 2008 Survey Win Crisp Uncirculated Nationals

Dallas, Texas: Heritage Auction Galleries has selected winners in their 2008 Currency Auction Survey. Kelly Gobin of New Hampshire, the Grand Prize winner, received a Crisp Uncirculated $1000 bill.

Additionally, Crisp Uncirculated 1929 National Bank Notes were awarded to members of the American Numismatic Association and the Society of Paper Money Collectors.

Three Second Prize winners won the ability to auction $100,000 in numismatic properties with no Seller’s Fee, and five Third Prize winners can auction $50,000 through Heritage without a Seller’s Fee.

Mr. Gobin started collecting currency at the age of fifteen, when his mother gave him his first two dollar bill: “I didn’t think it was real at first, but I still have it today! Which also got me into collecting coins, too, as I just love the long history and importance of coins and notes in everyday living. One day, I hope to be able to pass along to my children the values and rewards that come with numismatics.”

Mr. Gobin concluded that “Since I have been a member at HA.com for the past year, I haven’t found a more rewarding place to go, and that conclusion was reached before I won the $1000 Crisp Uncirculated grand prize! Thank you very much Heritage for this wonderful addition to my currency collection!”

“We thank Mr. Gobin and our other survey winners for their thanks and kind words,” concluded Heritage Co-Chairman Steve Ivy. “Heritage’s auction success over the years has been built upon our professional relationships, but we certainly enjoy the fun of notifying Survey winners.”

Someday we can re-issue $1000 Bill and $500 Bill to circulation because of inflation. Since inflation is pick up fast so $1 and $5 Bills will be changed to one dollar coins and five dollar coins. Do you think that federal reserve will re-issue $1000 and $500 Bills?
