Friday Kitcommentary – The (Over)Heat Is On
Precious metals trading showed some indecision and a bit of nervousness during the first hour of dealings in New York this morning. Such patterns are not uncommon following fresh record achievements however.
On the other hand the boost that the greenback received from the economic data that is covered in the paragraphs below was undeniably on traders' minds and could not be casually dismissed. Spot gold was quoted in the $1,470 to near $1,480 range while silver orbited in and around the $42.25 zone. Thursday Kitcommentary – A Low(er) Budget Production
Precious metals trading opened on a slightly weaker note this morning as minor gains in the US dollar and a small decline in crude oil and copper dampened buying enthusiasm somewhat more.
The spot gold price fell to near the $1,455.00 level but did not yet appear to threaten a breach of the $1,450 support that it had held during overnight trading. Expected ranges for the yellow metal remain between $1,445 and $1,475 through tomorrow, barring fresh, surprise developments [...]
