The award was presented during the recent American Numismatic Association World’s Fair of Money in Pittsburgh.

Fuljenz, founder of Universal Coin & Bullion in Beaumont, Texas, has received more than 60 NLG awards since 1986, including the organization’s highest honor, the Clemy Award.

His Metals Market Report focuses not only on coin rarity, popularity and pricing trends in gold and silver, but also on practical issues facing buyers and sellers. Topics include avoiding scams, evaluating toning and luster, and safely storing coins and precious metals.

"Knowing the rarity, popularity and price of a rare coin or what is affecting the price trends of gold and silver is only part of the equation," Fuljenz said. "Investors need crucial information about avoiding scams when buying or selling, and advice about toning, luster and safely storing their valuables."

Another Universal Coin & Bullion staff member, Jerry Jordan, also received an NLG award. Jordan, a senior marketing consultant, was honored for a COINage Magazine article about the U.S. Mint’s 2025 Texas American Innovation dollar, which recognizes NASA’s Mission Control at Johnson Space Center in Houston.

Founded in 1968, the nonprofit Numismatic Literary Guild is composed of editors, reporters, writers and content producers covering rare coins, banknotes, tokens, medals and precious metals.

Fuljenz was also named the American Numismatic Association’s Dealer of the Year in 2021. His free weekly Metals Market Report is available at UniversalCoin.com.
