Stack's Bowers Galleries LogoStack’s Bowers Galleries has acquired the Long Beach Expo from Collectors Universe, Inc., taking ownership of one of the longest-running and most familiar numismatic shows in the United States. Known for more than six decades as a major West Coast venue for collectors and dealers, the Expo has long served as a key marketplace for buying, selling, learning, and connecting within the hobby.

Brian Kendrella, president of Stack’s Bowers Galleries, said the firm intends to preserve and build on the show’s established role in the community.

"Our mission is to ensure that this historic venue remains a vibrant hub for collectors and dealers," Kendrella said. "We are proud to support a show that has played such an important role in numismatics, and we look forward to strengthening its future, beginning with our first Expo in February 2026."

The first event under the firm’s management will take place Feb. 18–20, 2026, at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center, Hall C. Described as a smaller, more intimate invitational-style launch, the show will open to the public on Wednesday, with dealer setup on Feb. 17.

As the Expo returns under its new ownership, Stack’s Bowers Galleries — already a Platinum Sponsor of the Professional Numismatists Guild (PNG) — will extend special benefits to PNG members. These include discounted table fees, priority table selection, and additional incentives to support dealers attending the reintroduced event.

PCGS will be the official grading service for the show. President Stephanie Sabin said the company is excited to support the event as it enters a new chapter.

"PCGS is thrilled to support the return of the Long Beach Expo to Southern California," said PCGS President Stephanie Sabin. "As the Long Beach Expo enters a new era, we are excited to continue serving a role in what is one of the most important events on the numismatic calendar."

Members of the PCGS Collectors Club will receive free admission.
