U.S. Mint Strikes Over 1.25 Billion Coins for Circulation in April
U.S. coin production picked up in April, topped one billion coins for a fourth straight month, and was quicker than a year ago, according to the latest round of manufacturing figures from the United States Mint.

The price of producing U.S. coins for circulation climbed again last year, the United States Mint disclosed in its 2018 Annual Report. And also again, for a thirteenth straight year in fact, the unit cost for both cents and nickels remained above their face values.
The toll to make, administer and distribute the 1-cent coin was 2.06 cents in FY 2018 compared to 1.82 cents a year earlier, and cost for the 5-cent coin rose to 7.53 cents from 6.60 cents [...]

US Mint Sales: 2019 Uncirculated Coin Set Debuts
The recently released uncirculated 2019 Mint Set jumped out of the starting gate according to the latest sales figures from the United States Mint. The added bonus coin -- the last of three premium 2019 "W' cents -- that comes with every set is doing its job of driving in more orders.
Released May 14 for $21.95, the set of 20 uncirculated coins from the Philadelphia and Denver Mints posted six-day sales of 161,598. That's the best debut for the annually issued product since the set from 2012 [...]
Gold Prices Settle Near Three-Week Low
Precious metals futures on Tuesday moved opposite of their direction on Monday as platinum gained and gold, silver and palladium fell. Gold finished at a nearly three-week low.

American Legion 100th Anniversary Silver Dollar and Medal Set Released
Commemorating the American Legion's founding, the United States Mint today released the American Legion 100th Anniversary Proof Silver Dollar and Medal Set.
This set includes one 2019-P Proof American Legion Silver Dollar and one American Veterans Silver Medal -- both struck in 99.9% silver at the U.S. Mint facility in Philadelphia.
