2018 World War I Centennial Silver Medal Designs Unveiled
The United States Mint announced designs Tuesday, Oct. 10, for the five silver medals that will be issued in conjunction with the commemorative 2018 World War I Centennial Silver Dollar.

US Banknote Production in August Reaches 557 Million
U.S. paper money production slowed a bit in August compared to July but the number of larger bills rose sharply, according to monthly data published atypically late (on Oct. 6) by the agency responsible for printing American currency.

The U.S. Mint's 2017 Limited Edition Silver Proof Set is no longer available. Limited to 50,000 and priced at $139.95, the set of eight silver coins went on sale Thursday at noon and by Friday evening -- roughly 32 hours later -- it was unavailable.
