The United States Mint’s newest American Presidency $1 Coin Cover was the most popular collector product of the week.
Covers hold two circulating-quality Richard M. Nixon dollars from the first day of their production. Released on March 1 for $19.95, the 2016 Richard M. Nixon $1 Coin Cover scored opening sales of 10,945. The immediate prior release with Johnson dollars started slower at 10,287.
The latest Mint figures also show first results for the 2016 Nixon $1 Coin & First Spouse Medal Set. Released on March 3 for $9.95, the set includes an uncirculated Nixon dollar and a Patricia Nixon First Spouse Bronze Medal. Sales opened at 2,095 sets, down from the 2,871 debut of the previous Johnson set.
