For a second week in a row, sales stats from the United States Mint include new products with designs emblematic of Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge in Delaware.
Last week’s report provided sales starts for rolls and bags of Bombay Hook quarters. This week’s report offers debuting figures for the quarters in a three-coin set and for the uncirculated Bombay Hook 5 Ounce Silver Coin.
Released a week ago Tuesday, Oct. 6, Bombay Hook Quarters Three-Coin Sets opened with 6-day sales of 9,292. That’s lower than typical openings. The prior set with Blue Ridge Parkway quarters posted 4-day sales of 9,371.
The U.S. Mint introduced the 2015-P Bombay Hook Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin on Thursday, Oct. 8. It also moved slower out of the gate, logging 4-day sales of 14,433 compared to the 15,295 start of the previous coin honoring Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina. Going back further, the issue commemorating Kisatchie National Forest in Louisiana started at 15,622 and the first 2015-dated release depicting Homestead National Monument of America in Nebraska debuted at 16,216.

The U.S. Mint published sales updates to 240 numismatic products. Overall, 62 of them outperformed their prior weekly sales compared to 67 previously. Six of them increased by more than 1,000 units compared to 9 previously. Seven had their sales reduced compared to 2 previously.
