Seven new U.S. Mint products with America the Beautiful Quarters popped onto this week’s sales report. They include 25-cent pieces bearing a design emblematic of Kisatchie National Forest in Louisiana and an uncirculated set of all five quarters for 2015.
To start the week, six products containing circulating-quality Kisatchie quarters launched on Monday, April 20. Product options include rolls and bags of quarters struck in Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco with mint marks of ‘P’, ‘D’ and ‘S’. The number of Kisatchie quarters sold in the first seven days tallied to 2,055,840. That’s right within the area of other recent issues. Going back to the prior six, they logged early sales of:
- 2,005,180 for 2015 Homestead National Monument quarters,
- 1,918,160 for 2014 Everglades quarters,
- 2,079,860 for 2014 Great Sand Dunes quarters,
- 2,002,300 for 2014 Arches quarters,
- 2,211,600 for 2014 Shenandoah quarters, and
- 2,186,480 for 2014 Great Smoky Mountain quarters
Then on Wednesday, April 22, the U.S. Mint released its 10-coin set of uncirculated 2015 America the Beautiful Quarters. The set pulled in 12,593 orders in five days, making it the Mint’s most popular collectible product of the week. Last year’s set opened at 12,085 and the set from 2013 kicked off with sales of 13,052.
Wrapping up new product launches, Kisatchie Quarters Three-Coin Sets debuted on Thursday, April 23. Strangely, its four-day sales reached just 966. The U.S. Mint’s reporting of the start seems to be missing a zero. The prior 2015 Homestead Quarters Three-Coin Set opened at 9,615 and the set before that, holding 2014 Everglades quarters, started at 9,714.

The U.S. Mint published sales updates to 215 numismatic products. Ninety-eight of them outperformed their prior weekly sales compared to 110 previously. Seven products of at least two weeks old increased by more than 1,000 units, matching the previous report. Ten products had their totals notched lower compared to 17 previously.
