Australian and Canadian Coins Rule Headlines

New world coins from the Perth Mint of Australia and the Royal Canadian Mint drew the most interest from coin collectors last week, and more world coins will be previewed this week.

  1. 2014 Bullion American Silver Eagles Sold Out, US Mint Says – The United States Mint’s supply of 2014 American Silver Eagle bullion coins is depleted but more will be made, the agency said Wednesday, Nov. 5. Citing “tremendous demand in the last several weeks,” the Mint told its authorized distributors that it will let them know when more coins become available.

  2. 2015 Baby Burrowing Owl Coin 3rd in Canadian Baby Animal Series – Young burrowing owls are featured on new silver coins from the Royal Canadian Mint, and more than 80% of the available 7,500 have already sold. Offered as the third release in a series of collectibles depicting baby animals with the first two selling out, the 2015 $20 Baby Burrowing Owl 1 oz Fine Silver Coin is available for CAD $99.95, or about US $87.55.
