Franklin Roosevelt $1 Coin Cover, Annual Uncirculated Dollar Coin Set and Great Sand Dunes National Park Quarters Three Coin Set
The Mint’s newest products were weekly top sellers

New $1 coin covers, quarters sets and annual uncirculated sets sparked interest and helped buoy sales across other United States Mint products.

Sales gains widened with 91 older products outperforming their prior weekly sales compared to 56 previously. The newest products that supported those increases included:

2014 United States Mint Annual Uncirculated Dollar Coin Sets enjoyed the most attention with starting sales of 12,876, topping last year’s set which opened at 9,636 and eventually ended at 43,156.

Franklin D. Roosevelt $1 Coin Covers ranked 2nd in popularity with debuting sales of 9,842, the quickest start in the product line this year. Immediate prior Herbert Hoover $1 Coin Covers opened at 9,085. Before then, the Calvin Coolidge $1 Coin Cover started at 9,360 and the Warren G. Harding $1 Coin Cover debuted at 9,588.

Three-coin sets of quarters are having a tougher time this year, at least in the early going. The newest Great Sand Dunes Quarters Three-Coin Set opened with sales of 8,941. The start was the slowest of the sets to date with the most recent issues featuring Arches quarters, Shenandoah quarters, and Great Smoky Mountains quarters starting at 9,250; 9,402 and 9,578.
