The Mint delighted Roughrider fans by officially unveiling this circulation coin in the company of Saskatchewan Roughriders and federal government officials gathered at a public event held in Regina's Northgate Mall.

Buchanan’s Liberty First Spouse Gold Coins Issued
The United States Mint today at noon ET placed Buchanan's Liberty First Spouse Gold Coins on sale.
The coin prices can go up or down weekly depending on the prevailing cost of gold, but the proof version opened with a price of $779 and the uncirculated option was listed for $766.
James Buchanan was the only American President never to marry. However, the law authorizing the gold series still mandates the production of First Spouse Gold Coins as companions to the Buchanan Presidential Dollars.

US Mint Sales: 2010 Sets Soar, Bullion Gold Coins Anemic
Demand for United States Mint numismatic coins picked up for a second straight week, but interest in bullion coins was limited.
The U.S. Mint's release of the 2010 Silver Proof Set went well with four-day debuting sales at a respectable 241,656. Their launch lifted other annual sets also as many registered sharp weekly increases over prior sales, including the:
- 2010 Proof Set which advanced 47,704 versus 30,669
- 2010 Quarters Silver Proof Set which added 5,950 against 4,884
- 2010 Mint Set which grew 39,617 over 19,981
