50th Anniversary Kennedy 2014 Half-Dollar Products and 2014 American $1 Coin and Currency Set

50th Anniversary Kennedy 2014 50c Products and 2014 American $1 Coin and Currency Set

New United States Mint sales figures show markedly higher sales for two of the three 50th Anniversary 2014 Kennedy Half-Dollar products and that more than three-fourths of the 2014 American $1 Coin and Currency Sets have been claimed.

Weekly gains for the clad and gold Kennedy half-dollar products more than doubled the previous round. The clad set at $9.95 may be benefiting from some holiday buying, and sales of the 24-karat gold coin are jumping on the heels of the Mint’s announcement about its 75,000 mintage.

In related news, there’s a good chance that the price of the gold coin will increase on Wednesday to $1,202.50 from $1,165.00.

Finally, 2014 American $1 Coin and Currency Sets are selling fast when ordering options are open. They have been listed as out-of-stock since Nov. 24, except for a few hours last week when buyers snapped up more than 24,000 of them.

Below is a table of weekly and total sales for the three 50th Anniversary Kennedy products that feature 7 coins in varying finishes and compositions and for the American $1 Coin and Currency Set which includes an unique enhanced uncirculated Native American $1 Coin and a $1 note.

I wonder how many C&C and Kennedy Clad sets are intended for Christmas gifts, seem these two appear to be the winners. Nice for youthful collectors. Thanks Mike. Merry Christmas

Jan,The max mintage is 50 grand.I doubt they will deliver short on this offering.Look as often as you can and don’t hesitate

The website said you could sign up for email notice when the sets became available. The sets became available, sold out the second batch. Still no email notice from the Mint that they were ever available. Suspect that the dealers grabbed the lion’s share of them.

Don’t wait for the e notice, doesn’t sound to me like anyone received notification. When it comes to your mind just hit the mint site.I got mine by just blind luck, the avaliable sets went quickly.

senior, thank you for your suggestion! The second batch order status still “on hold” before the system shows the expect delivery date is Dec 8.

Kahoola – yeah, an empty promise from the mint or it’s just not yet implemented on the new site yet.
I saw there was an increase in sales in last week’s article so disregarded the missing email and went to the Mint site and ordered anyway. It shipped the next day but hasn’t arrived yet.

I got in on the first day for the C&C and ordered me 2 sets. I was on the web looking around the next week and there were people on there already selling these. Some of the sales said they had 50 of them available. When will the mint ever listen and put a household limit on something like this with a minting of only 50,000. At least for a couple weeks and then let these people order 200 if they want.

I also have an order “On Hold” now. I ordered two on 12/3 (with a December 8 est ship date) along with other items to make the $100 free shipping. Received the other items Monday the 8th. Hoping the on hold is released when more stock arrives – before other orders are taken.
