New United States Mint sales figures show markedly higher sales for two of the three 50th Anniversary 2014 Kennedy Half-Dollar products and that more than three-fourths of the 2014 American $1 Coin and Currency Sets have been claimed.
Weekly gains for the clad and gold Kennedy half-dollar products more than doubled the previous round. The clad set at $9.95 may be benefiting from some holiday buying, and sales of the 24-karat gold coin are jumping on the heels of the Mint’s announcement about its 75,000 mintage.
In related news, there’s a good chance that the price of the gold coin will increase on Wednesday to $1,202.50 from $1,165.00.
Finally, 2014 American $1 Coin and Currency Sets are selling fast when ordering options are open. They have been listed as out-of-stock since Nov. 24, except for a few hours last week when buyers snapped up more than 24,000 of them.
Below is a table of weekly and total sales for the three 50th Anniversary Kennedy products that feature 7 coins in varying finishes and compositions and for the American $1 Coin and Currency Set which includes an unique enhanced uncirculated Native American $1 Coin and a $1 note.
