U.S. Mint Online Catalog and Ordering System Is Back Up
Customers frustrated with the inability to order products online from the United States Mint website can now take some measure of solace.
After more than a week of inaccessibility, the ordering and catalog pages are now back online.
The user experiences in browsing and shopping the Mint’s site has remained unchanged. The design and functionality appear identical to the time before the shutdown.
With the exception of the 2008 Sacagawea Dollars and Kennedy Half-Dollar Bags and Rolls that went on sale Jan. 17, the newest Mint products are available online as well.
In a previous statement, the Mint indicated the Sacagawea Dollars and Kennedy .50c bags and rolls should be ordered through their toll free number at 1-800-USA-MINT (872-6468). For at least a short time, that will remain unchanged.
Most notably for the new products are the 2008 Bald Eagle coins and sets. No sellouts occurred over the phone with all varieties still available. These limited edition collector coins are also now available for online purchase.
