2000 Sacagawea Mule Coin Tops US Mint Errors
In commemoration of the new book, the 100 Greatest U.S. Error Coins by David Camire, Nicholas Brown and legendary error dealer Fred Weinberg, we've decided to discuss the greatest error in United States history... the 2000 Sacagawea Mule.

US Mint Sales: Buchanan’s Liberty First Spouse Gold Coins Sprint
The latest round of United States Mint sales figures dipped, hurt by collectors apparently taking a long buying break during the Labor Day weekend.
One bright spot to appear in this week's report was the debuting performance of Buchanan's Liberty First Spouse Gold Coins. In fact, all First Spouse Coins enjoyed better week-over-week sales.
Nearly all other U.S. Mint numismatic products slowed, although the major annual sets put up sizable numbers. For example, the weekly advance for the 2010 Proof Set was 43,120 versus the previous 47,704. That pushed their total past 500,000. The 2010 Mint Set gained 25,800 against 39,617. In two weeks they should top 400,000.

Silver Eagle August 2010 Bullion Coin Sales Retreat
The United States Mint's most recent sales figures for bullion American Silver Eagles paints an interesting picture for the series. They show easing demand in August while still taking a giant step closer to making 2010 the best year ever for the .999 fine silver coins.
The U.S. Mint registered 2,451,000 orders in August. The amount, while impressive when compared to a typical month in nearly any year, was nonetheless the second lowest monthly number so far this year.
