The United States Mint opens pre-orders this Thursday for seven FIFA World Cup 2026™ commemorative coin products, including proof and uncirculated $5 gold coins, silver dollars, clad half dollars, and a three-coin set. Special introductory pricing will be available on most options through July 6.

The coins celebrate the 2026 FIFA World Cup, scheduled for June 11 through July 19 across 16 North American cities — 11 in the United States, three in Mexico, and two in Canada.

Proof coins feature polished, mirror-like backgrounds and frosted design elements, while uncirculated coins have a more standard collector finish. The three-coin set includes one proof version of each coin.

As with other U.S. Mint commemorative programs, each coin carries a congressionally authorized surcharge: $35 per gold coin, $10 per silver dollar, and $5 per half dollar.

"Every surcharge dollar will directly support youth soccer initiatives for service members’ children, expanding opportunities that build character, resilience, and community," said Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent.

The program was authorized by Congress under the FIFA World Cup 2026 Commemorative Coin Act (Public Law 118-143). Under the law, surcharge funds are directed to FWC2026 US, Inc. to support U.S.-based soccer programs, with FIFA agreeing that 100% of the funds will benefit military family youth soccer initiatives.
