U.S. Mint sales for the 2025 Marine Corps 250th Anniversary Commemorative Coins end today, Dec. 26. Interested buyers have until 11:59 PM ET to place orders.
Of the seven commemorative products originally offered when sales began Jan. 2, only two remain available — the proof and uncirculated gold coins, priced at $1,274.25 and $1,264.25, respectively. The pair of clad half dollars, the pair of silver dollars, and the three-coin proof set are listed as "Currently Unavailable."
The unavailable coins and set are not the result of selling out, but instead reflect quantities the Mint struck in response to demand.
The U.S. Mint was directed under Public Law 118-10 to produce this year’s commemorative coins that mark the founding of the Marines on Nov. 10, 1775. Surcharges of $35 per gold coin, $10 per silver dollar, and $5 per half dollar are included in their prices. If the program generates a profit, these surcharges will be directed to the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation to support the mission of the Marine Corps Heritage Center.

Marine Privy Mark 2025-P Proof American Silver Eagle
For reference and clarification, outside of the commemorative program and unrelated to Public Law 118-10, the Mint also produced a Marine privy-marked proof American Silver Eagle recognizing the Corps’ 250th anniversary — following similar releases this year for the Army and Navy.
Launched on Nov. 10 for $105 and limited to 100,000, the coin was unavailable within an hour of release. The latest Mint-published figures place its sales at 92,160.
