September is a bit slower for U.S. Mint product releases than August, but collectors will still find a unique mix of palladium, gold, and silver coins, along with two medals. The upcoming products include classic designs, such as those on American Eagles and the Morgan and Peace dollars, as well as new ones, including a Batman-themed coin and pair of medals.

The lineup features a variety of finishes. Most are in proof, showcasing sharp detail with frosted design elements against mirror-like fields. One coin — the American Palladium Eagle — is struck in reverse proof, the opposite effect, with mirrored design elements against frosted fields. The two medals are in a matte finish, similar in appearance to the Mint’s uncirculated coins.
Sales Expectations and Some Lower Mintages
Sales expectations for the upcoming coins can be gauged by looking at their prior-year counterparts, particularly the same-finish American Eagles, Morgan, and Peace dollars. Excluding the reverse proof Palladium Eagle, last issued in 2022, the other coins in their respective finishes were most recently released in 2024 and remain available.
Of note, some of the newly announced mintages are lower than the sales totals of past issues.
For the Batman-themed coin and medals, comparisons can be drawn from the performances of the Superman-themed products released earlier this year.
The table below outlines September’s U.S. Mint product launches with announced mintages and sales of prior issues through Aug. 24.
