Each coin in the set bears a 2025 date and belongs to the Mint’s American Innovation® $1 Coin Program. Produced in proof quality, they feature sharp relief, frosted foregrounds, and mirror-like backgrounds creating the signature cameo effect collectors appreciate.

"Celebrate the spirit of American innovation with these unique proof coins," notes the Mint. "From the Nation’s founding to the technological marvels of today, Americans have always pushed the boundaries of what’s possible."

This year’s set contains the following $1 coins:

  • Arkansas – Depicting the home of Raye Montague, American engineer credited with creating the first computer-generated U.S. naval ship design
  • Michigan – Showcasing the automobile assembly line
  • Florida – Honoring the Space Shuttle Program

Launched in 2018, the U.S. Mint’s American Innovation series began with a single coin featuring George Washington’s signature, honoring his role as the first U.S. President to sign a patent.

Since that inaugural release, the program has continued with four new coins issued each year, each one celebrating a unique contribution to American innovation and ingenuity. Set to conclude in 2032, the series will include a total of 56 coins, one for each U.S. state, the District of Columbia, the five U.S. territories, and the initial Washington-themed coin that started it all.

Innovation dollars also appear in other U.S. Mint releases including bags and rolls of the coins, as well as traditional annual proof and uncirculated sets. Also, the U.S. Mint plans the release of a 2025 American Innovation $1 Coin Reverse Proof Set on December 9.
