Meanwhile, U.S. Mint stats showed weaker volumes of sales as 40 products outperformed their prior weekly increases compared to 85 previously.
Remaining steady, 7 products registered negative weekly sales just like in the previous report. The reductions ranged from 1 to 49 with the latter tagged to the 2022 Franklin Pierce Presidential Silver Medal.

Didn’t know it was a thing. My surprise is central banks buying up gold at a rate not seen in 55 years yet the price barely moves and has been mostly on a down trend. I do notice that premiums for silver mint coins are high (presumably because mint has not enough silver) in all varieties, like kugarand, philharmonic, maple etc. Trash rounds as I call them (coins made by independent company with replica pics of different coins, similar, not exact not much cheaper. D & C, Crypto got hammered yesterday with Sam Bankman-Fried losing 94% of his $15-$16B wealth and his FTX outfit is withering away quickly. $6B in funds withdrawn in days leading up to SBF trying to sell his FTX to Binance who after looking at FTX books withdrew their offer to purchase. And what silver shortage? Other mints around the world have no problems getting supplied. US Mint had shortage of one planchet variety for the Morgan & Peace Dollars. This is mainly due to the Mint’s strict guidelines for their silver rounds and reliance on one manufacturer who will abide by those guidelines. But that same manufacturer sold to other mints around the world, both national and private. It was only the US Mint that had supply problems not rest of world. Isn’t that the same case with this years ASE-S mint? Right now that is the only way to get a hold of the S dollar still.
Id sooner just order the coin separately along with the silver mint set…..the only caveat would be if they include a “only in the limited edition set coin”…..say making a reverse proof of one or more of the coins” ….that would be the “cookie” to dangle in front of us.
where did the 85 colorized purple heart dollars appear from?
Maybe they will bring back some other necessities like 2019 enhanced reverse proof or a few of the special V75 offerings
