The United States Mint published the first round of sales stats for its third and final 2019 youth-oriented product, the Youth Coin and Currency Set.
Released last Thursday, Oct. 31, the joint U.S. Mint and Bureau of Engraving and Printing product features five proof quarters and a $2 Federal Reserve Note that are grouped together in a tri-fold presentation folder which is designed for children.
The kid’s set opened with four-day starting sales of 5,509, representing 22% of the allotted 25,000. It was the Mint’s second strongest weekly seller.

In its latest report, the U.S. Mint published sales data for 191 numismatic products. Not counting the new Youth Coin and Currency Set as to compare apples to apples, 63 products outperformed their prior weekly gains compared to 60 previously. Using the same criteria, 7 products increased by more than 1,000 units just like in the prior report.
In addition, 6 products saw their sales reduced compared to 1 previously. All the reductions were modest.
