US Mint Sales: 2019 Pennsylvania American Innovation Dollars Debut

Collectors ordered over 565000 Pennsylvania American Innovation dollars in four days

The latest United States Mint sales figures offer first showings of rolls and bags containing 2019 American Innovation dollars for Pennsylvania.

Celebrating the discovery of the polio vaccine, the new dollars have uncirculated finishes and were minted at the Denver and Philadelphia Mints.

The roll and bag products combined for sales of 565,525 dollars in four days. As a comparison, earlier released 2019 American Innovation dollars for Delaware registered four-day starting sales of 530,850 pieces.

2019 Silver Proof Set Tops 2018 Silver Proof Set

Elsewhere, sales of the 2019 Silver Proof Set overtook those from last year, climbing in the latest round of stats by 5,199 to 328,789. The still available set from 2018 advanced 379 to 328,313.

The silver set and new Innovation dollars were among the U.S. Mint’s best weekly sellers.

  8. 2019 American Innovation 100-Coin Bag (P) – Pennsylvania (+1,856)
  9. 2019 American Innovation 100-Coin Bag (P) – Pennsylvania (+1,730)
  10. 2019-W Proof Silver Eagle (+1,578 to 317,214)

In its latest report, the U.S. Mint published sales data for 190 numismatic products. Not counting the new Pennsylvania Innovation dollars so as to compare apples to apples, 60 products outperformed their prior weekly gains compared to 52 previously. Using the same criteria, 7 products increased by more than 1,000 units against 6 previously.

In addition, 1 product saw its sales reduced compared to 10 previously. The sold-out Pride of Two Nations Set slipped 5 units to 99,927.
