The United States Mint published this week its product schedule for 2019. There are the regular listings of quarters, half-dollars, dollars, American Eagle coins, and annual sets; and then there are unique products that you don’t see every year like the curved-shaped Apollo 11 commemoratives.
It appears that exact release dates will be published quarterly as products shown beyond March are simply listed with dates of "SPRING 2019," "SUMMER 2019," or "FALL 2019." There are also about two-dozen TBDs for product release dates that are yet to be determined.
Unavailable at this time are product specifics like price points, mintages and descriptions.
Several of the more notable or more anticipated products for the year include:
-
Jan. 24 launch of Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Commemorative Coins (See Apollo 11 coin designs)
-
Jan. 31 release of the 2019 Proof American Platinum Eagle (See 2019 Platinum Eagle designs)
-
March 14 issue of 2019 American Legion 100th Anniversary Commemorative Coins (See American Legion coin designs)
-
Fall launch of the 2019 Reverse Proof American Palladium Eagle (See photos of a 2018 Proof Palladium Eagle)
-

2019 Presidential Silver Medals
The U.S. Mint’s Presidential silver medal series kicked off this year with the first two releases featuring George Washington and John Adams.
Next year’s 1-ounce .999 fine silver medals will feature portraits of Thomas Jefferson (Jan. 25), James Madison (spring), James Monroe (summer), and John Quincy Adams (fall).
2019 American Innovation $1 Coins
American Innovation dollars will make a full swing for the year with four unique designs — one each for American innovation or innovators representative of Delaware, Georgia, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
Their designs and release dates have yet to be revealed but the U.S. Mint’s product schedule does indicate what type of collector finishes will be offered. They’ll include circulating, proof, uncirculated and reverse proof.
2019 America the Beautiful Quarter Dollars
Finally, look toward the five 2019 quarters celebrating Lowell National Historical Park in Massachusetts (Feb. 4), American Memorial Park in Northern Mariana Islands (April 1), War in the Pacific National Historical Park in Guam (June 3), San Antonio Missions National Historical Park in Texas (Aug. 26), and Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness in Idaho (Nov. 4).
As is traditional, sets with the quarters will be offered in proof (Jan. 15), silver proof (Feb. 21), uncirculated (March 26), and circulating (fall).
