Betty Ford First Spouse Gold Coins are new to U.S. Mint sales boards, as are 2016 National Park Service 100th Anniversary Commemorative Coins.
Having already talked about NPS coin sales, we’ll pivot straight to the spousal coins. Betty Ford gold coins opened with 3-day sale of 1,565 with splits of 960 for the proof and 605 for the uncirculated.
The tallies are down from the sales starts of past issues but then those didn’t launch on Good Friday. Until the release of the Betty Ford coins, the last time spousal coins didn’t debut on a Thursday was back in 2013.

The U.S. Mint published sales updates to 249 numismatic products. One hundred and six of them outperformed their prior weekly sales compared to 81 previously. Nine of them increased by more than 1,000 units compared to 5 previously. Five had their sales reduced compared to 2 previously.
Sales No Longer Reported
As mentioned last week, the U.S. Mint pulled a number of products from its website. The agency is now no longer reporting sales for them. They include:
