Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) facilities will close to the public through Christmas and New Year’s holidays, keeping to its traditional closure schedule.
"As an efficiency measure," the BEP notes on its website, the agency shuts down operations at the end of each year.
In addition to the printing facilities, tour and visitor centers will be closed at the end of business on Wednesday, Dec. 23. The Washington, D.C. Tour and Visitor Center will re-open on Monday, Jan. 4, while the Fort Worth Tour and Visitor Center will re-open one day later, on Tuesday, Jan. 5.
Tour information for both plants is located here.
