Released on June 25, 2015 in collector proof and uncirculated finishes, sales of the Jacqueline Kennedy First Spouse Gold Coins neared 11,000 on the first day. The single-day start topped sales of the prior 12 spousal coins combined.

According to U.S. Mint figures, their latest sales splits are 9,963 for the proof and 5,094 for the uncirculated for a combined 15,057. That’s just over half of the 30,000 authorized and higher than any in the series since the two in 2007 that honored Dolley Madison.

On July 9, the United States Mint also released the Kennedy Presidential $1 Coin & First Spouse Medal Set for $9.95. It has one uncirculated quality John F. Kennedy Presidential $1 Coin and one Jacqueline Kennedy First Spouse Bronze Medal. The bronze medal is in the same likeness to her First Spouse Gold Coins. Here are photos of the set and medal.
