December will start a bit quicker for the United States Mint as it introduces three collector products. Denali National Park and Preserve Quarters make an appearance in a Three-Coin Set, followed by two First Spouse Gold Coins commemorating Caroline Harrison.
Rolling out on Tuesday, December 4, is the 2012 Denali National Park and Preserve Quarters Three-Coin Set for $9.95. Making up the set is one proof version of the Denali quarter struck at the U.S. Mint facility in San Francisco, plus two collector quality uncirculated versions from facilities in Philadelphia and Denver. Initial sales will be high, based on early demand for past America the Beautiful Quarters Three-Coin Sets.
Upon the sales kick-off, orders for the Denali Quarters Three-Coin Set are accepted on this United States Mint online page.
Thursday, December 6, the Caroline Harrison First Spouse Gold Coins hit the market. Options are available in proof and uncirculated qualities. As with all numismatic products containing gold — and these are one-half ounce 24-karat strikes, the U.S. Mint waits until they are released to announce prices. Current prices run $1,016.00 for uncirculated spousal coins and $1,029.00 for proofs.
