Finest Lincoln Cent Collection, Registry Rarities in Heritage’s December Houston Coin...
Dallas, TX – The #1 All-Time Finest Set of Lincoln Cents ever assembled (according to the PCGS Registry) is being offered by Heritage Auction Galleries in their Houston Signature® Auction, the Official Auction of the Houston Money Show of the Southwest.
The auction, December 4-6, 2008, includes important material from more than 230 consignors in the last major auction of the year. Some 7,000 lots include many Registry-level or Registry-leading pieces. Details can be found on the Heritage website, HA.com, where the auction is now posted; all lots are now available for inspection and bidding.
"This Houston auction contains three different offerings from the Estate of Jack Lee," explained Heritage President Greg Rohan. US Mint Last Chance Sale Begins, Clearance Coins Listed
The United States Mint's last chance coin clearance sale kicked off early Saturday morning with a massive list of over 150 old and new coins and products.
The Mint announced its sale Monday along with plans to slash coins from its 2009 numismatic portfolio, including 22 American Buffalo and American Eagle gold and platinum collector coins.
The Mint has dubbed its limited-time, first come, first serve offer as the "Last Chance Sale." The sale continues through to December 19 and includes coins and product dating between 1999-2008. The Mint has said old inventory not sold will be melted shortly after, which will ease its January transition to a new fulfillment center in Plainfield, IN.
