Lincoln Silver Dollar Prices Published by US Mint
The United States Mint published 2009 Lincoln Silver Dollar prices on Friday and said it would offer introductory discounts for several weeks following the commemorative silver dollar launch.
The silver coins celebrate the 200th birthday of Abraham Lincoln's birth with up to 500,000 proof and uncirculated silver dollars issued for collectors beginning on Lincoln's birthday, February 12.
Additionally, the US Mint will offer a special set that includes the proof silver version and proofs of the four newly designed 2009 Lincoln cents.
Lincoln Silver Dollar designs were revealed by the Mint during the annual Dedication Day Ceremony at Soldiers' National Cemetery in Gettysburg on November 19, which was the 145th anniversary of the day that Abraham Lincoln delivered his famous Gettysburg Address. The reverse or tails side of the silver coins feature the last 43 words of the Gettysburg Address, encircled in a laurel wreath.
