Stack’s Bowers Galleries will again offer its Professional Numismatist Program (PNP) in 2026, providing young adults interested in pursuing careers in numismatics an opportunity to receive hands-on instruction from some of the industry’s leading experts.

The week-long session is scheduled for July 25-31, 2026, and will take place at Griffin Studios within the firm’s global headquarters in Costa Mesa, California. Designed to help cultivate the next generation of professional numismatists, the program focuses on practical skills development alongside opportunities to build professional connections within the hobby and trade.

The 2026 session will be led by Jason Carter and will feature instruction from a group of established numismatic professionals, including Greg Roberts, John Kraljevich, John Pack, Kyle Ponterio, and Peter Treglia, among others.

Participants will receive comprehensive instruction across multiple areas of numismatics, including:

  • Advanced coin grading
  • Wholesale trading and valuation
  • Bullion trading
  • Introduction to world numismatics
  • United States and world paper money
  • The full auction process, from consignment through sale

According to Stack’s Bowers Galleries, the program’s mission is to provide practical tools and professional networking opportunities for young adult collectors considering careers in the field.

Fully Funded Educational Experience

The Professional Numismatist Program is fully funded by Stack’s Bowers Galleries. Accepted applicants will have all expenses covered, including travel, lodging, meals, beverages, and scheduled activities during the program.

Hosting the program at Griffin Studios allows participants to work within the company’s operational environment while also experiencing Southern California’s recreational and cultural offerings.

Exceptional participants may also be considered for paid positions or internship opportunities following completion of the program.

"Everyone involved was incredibly kind, eager to help, and shared a genuine passion for numismatics."
