These Wonder Woman collectibles follow earlier 2025 releases honoring Superman and Batman. Developed in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery, the series will depict three DC Super Heroes annually over a three-year span, with additional comic-themed offerings planned for future phases.

Today’s featured offerings include the following Mint-designated pre-order products:

  • Comic Art 24-Karat Gold Proof Coin – Wonder Woman™ — struck from 1/2 troy ounce of 99.99% gold at the West Point Mint
  • Comic Art 2.5 Ounce Silver Medal – Wonder Woman™ — featuring 2.5 ounces of 99.9% silver and produced at the Philadelphia Mint
  • Comic Art One Ounce Silver Medal – Wonder Woman™ — containing 1 ounce of 99.9% silver and also struck in Philadelphia

All bear the same basic obverse (heads side) and reverse (tails side) imagery.

Appearing on the obverse of the coin and medals is a depiction of Wonder Woman leaping into action, shield in one hand and the Lasso of Truth in the other. The stripes of the American flag appear behind her as a nod to her World War II–era costume. "LIBERTY" is inscribed above, with "2025" below on the gold coin and 2.5-ounce silver medal, and "IN GOD WE TRUST" added only to the gold coin. The gold coin’s obverse also bears the West Point mintmark "W."

The obverse design is the work of U.S. Mint Chief Engraver Joseph F. Menna, who also has the distinction of having been an artist for DC Comics.

The reverse shows Earth behind Wonder Woman with three doves in flight, symbolizing peace, equality, and justice. Reverse inscriptions on the silver medals include "WONDER WOMAN" and "PEACE AND EQUALITY," while the gold coin’s reverse inscriptions read "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "$50," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and "1/2 OZ. .9999 FINE GOLD." The reverse was designed by Medallic Artist Phebe Hemphill and sculpted by Menna.

Both sides of the designs include the artists’ initials.

Comic Art Coin and Medal Program Overview

The Mint’s Comic Art Coin and Medal Program debuted earlier this year. Superman coin and medals launched on June 24, followed by Batman coin and medals on September 25.

The initial three-year series will spotlight three DC Super Heroes annually, offered in multiple formats: 1/2-ounce 24K gold coins, 2.5-ounce .999 fine silver medals, 1-ounce .999 fine silver medals, and eventually clad medals. The gold coins and 2.5-ounce silver medals are released in limited quantities, while the 1-ounce silver and clad versions have no set mintage limits.

For 2026, the lineup will feature Green Lantern (see recommended designs), Robin (see recommended designs), and Supergirl (see recommended designs) coin and medals, followed in 2027 by The Flash, Batgirl, and Aquaman.

After three years, the Mint has indicated the program may expand to other comic themes.
