CCAC to Review 2024 Native American and American Innovation $1 Coin Designs

CCAC meeting for June 14,2022The Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) will hold a one-day public meeting Tuesday, June 14, to review candidate designs for 2024-dated $1 coins and a Congressional Gold Medal.

The CCAC is tasked with advising the Secretary of the Treasury on themes and designs pertaining to all United States coins and medals.

Specifically, key agenda topics for the meeting will include reviewing and discussing candidate designs for:

  • the 2024 Native American $1 Coin,
  • the 2024 American Innovation $1 Coins honoring innovations in Illinois and Alabama, and
  • the Congressional Gold Medals awarded to the Capitol Police and those who protected the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Members will also talk about recommendations to include in the CCAC 2022 Annual Report.

The CCAC meeting on the 14th begins at 8:30 a.m. and is scheduled to last until 3:30 p.m. (EDT).

I only bought the proof set and will buy the mint set for the Native American coin because I like the history surrounding this man on it. I only bought the AWQ in silver proof for them. I’ll end up doing that from year to year.
