CCG Offers Minimum Wage of $15/hr and Bonuses

Effective January 17, 2022, the Certified Collectibles Group (CCG), one of the largest private employers in the Sarasota-Manatee area, is instituting a $15 per hour minimum wage for all entry-level employees, including full-time employees, part-time employees and interns.

CCG’s new hourly minimum wage is more than double the federal minimum wage and 50% higher than the current Florida minimum wage.

CCG is the world’s leading provider of authentication and grading services for collectibles such as coins, paper money, comic books, trading cards, sports cards, stamps and more. Since 1987, CCG has certified nearly 70 million collectibles (over 9 million in 2021 alone) and continues to grow at a rapid pace as a result of the increasing demand for its services amid a boom in collectibles.

CCG now employs more than 500 people at its Sarasota headquarters and over 600 people globally. With many new openings at the start of 2022, CCG is once again offering a sign-on bonus: $1,500 for all new employees who start by June 30, 2022.*

My understanding is that many of the really good graders from PCGS have now joined or trying to join NGC. There are a few reasons for this in addition to good pay, and that is that they can live in Florida (no state tax) instead of California (high state tax) and I don’t blame them. So, I am a PCGS member and I prefer their slabs too but I’m debating switching over the NGC I just wish their slabs fit into my PCGS boxes and that the slabs were clear instead of white plastic – also they seem to scratch… Read more »
