BEP 2010 Intaglio PrintsThe Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) on Monday sent customers an e-mail notice announcing that the new 2010 Intaglio Print Subscription Program will be available Nov. 17, 2009, at 9:00 AM ET for $51.00.

"This year’s Intaglio Print Program has been dedicated to the age-old art of intaglio printing by featuring an exquisite compilation of unique engraved postage stamps, allegorical figures, and vignettes relative to the geographic location where each numismatic event is being held," the BEP states on its website.

The three numismatic events include:

  • The Florida United Numismatists Convention in Orlando, Florida on Jan. 7;
  • The ANA National Money Show in Fort Worth, Texas on Mar. 25; and,
  • The ANA World’s Fair of Money in Boston, Massachusetts on Aug. 11

The $51 subscription service price is a savings of $9.00 from purchasing each print individually. To partake in the savings, however, customers must subscribe by Jan. 6, 2010.

On Nov. 17, orders may be placed through a downloadable and faxable form on the BEP’s order page located here. At the same time customers may also call the BEP directly between 7:30 AM – 7:15 PM ET at 1-800-456-3408.

The 2009 subscription featured the Lincoln Bicentennial Series, which included five intaglio prints featuring an "exquisite compilation of unique engraved postage stamps, portraits and vignettes showcasing the age old art of intaglio printing."

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing is the government agency responsible for printing US currency.
